Setup

1. Drive Installation

The RSHTECH enclosure is designed for easy, tool-free installation of 3.5-inch SATA I/II/III HDDs or SSDs. For 2.5-inch drives, the screw holes may not align, and additional securing methods (e.g., tape) might be needed.

  1. Slide off the case cover of the enclosure.
  2. Carefully insert your 3.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD into the enclosure, ensuring the SATA connectors align and connect properly.
  3. Use the provided screwdriver and four screws to fix the hard drive securely to the bottom of the case for better protection.
  4. Slide the cover back onto the enclosure until it clicks into place.

2. Initializing and Formatting (for new or unformatted drives)

If your SSD or HDD has never been formatted, your computer will not be able to detect it. Follow these steps to initialize and format the disk:
