Operating Instructions

Preheating the Grill

  1. Ensure the drip tray is correctly positioned under the grill plate.
  2. Insert the temperature control probe firmly into the side of the grill unit.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Turn the adjustable temperature control dial to your desired heat setting (1-5). For best results, preheat for 10 minutes. The indicator light will illuminate when heating.

The adjustable temperature control allows for precise cooking with five heat settings.

Grilling Food

Place food directly onto the preheated non-stick grilling surface. The sloped grilling surface helps remove up to 42% of fat, which drains into the drip tray below. Close the lid for faster and more even cooking, or leave it open for a more traditional grilling experience.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your grill.

  1. Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the grill plate and drip tray. These parts are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water.
  3. For best results and to protect the non-stick coating, use nylon scrubbers and avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the grill unit and stand with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the temperature control probe or the main grill unit (with integrated heating element) in water.
  5. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your grill, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Grill not heating: Ensure the temperature control probe is fully inserted and the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the temperature dial is set to an active heat setting (not 'OFF').
  • Food sticking to the grill: Although the grill has a non-stick coating, ensure the grill surface is clean and properly preheated. Avoid using metal utensils that can damage the coating.
  • Excessive smoke: Ensure the drip tray is clean and empty before use. Excessive fat buildup can cause smoke. If grilling high-fat foods, ensure proper ventilation.
  • Grill feels wobbly on the stand: Ensure all stand components (legs, pole, grill unit) are securely clicked into their respective positions.
