Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.

2. App Installation and Pairing (HealthCoach App)
- Download the free "Beurer HealthCoach" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Open the HealthCoach app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a user profile.
- The app will guide you through the pairing process with your BF70 scale. Step onto the scale briefly to activate it and allow the app to detect it.

3. User Profile Setup on Scale (if not using app)
The scale can store up to 8 user profiles. If you are not using the app for initial setup, you can manually enter your data:
- Step onto the scale to turn it on.
- Press the "SET" button to enter setup mode.
- Use the arrow buttons to select a user memory space (P1-P8). Confirm with "SET".
- Enter your personal data: height, age, gender, and activity level (1-5). Confirm each entry with "SET".
- The scale will save your profile.

Operating the Scale
Taking a Measurement
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
- Step onto the scale with bare, dry feet. Ensure your feet are positioned on the stainless-steel electrodes.
- Stand still until the measurement is complete and the values are displayed.
- The scale will automatically recognize the user based on their weight and body fat percentage, then display the full body analysis results.
- If connected to the HealthCoach app, data will automatically transfer via Bluetooth.

- Weight: Your current body weight in pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg).
- BF (Body Fat): Percentage of body fat.
- BW (Body Water): Percentage of body water.
- Muscle: Percentage of muscle mass.

Automatic User Recognition

Activity Levels
The scale allows for setting 5 activity levels, which are used in the calculation of AMR/BMR. These levels should reflect your typical physical activity:
- Level 1: No physical activity.
- Level 2: Light physical activity (e.g., walking, light housework).

- Level 4: High physical activity (e.g., intense exercise 3-5 times/week).
