3. Product Overview

The HIMOTO NASCADA is a 1/10 scale 4WD electric brushed on-road RC car designed for performance and durability. It features a powerful RC-540 brushed motor and a reliable 2.4 GHz radio system.

3.1 Vehicle Body

3.2 Chassis and Electronics

3.3 2.4 GHz Radio System

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the Ni-MH 7.2V 2000 mAh battery pack to the included charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a suitable power outlet.
  3. Observe the charger's indicator light (refer to charger manual for specific light patterns).
  4. Once charging is complete, disconnect the battery from the charger. Do not leave batteries charging unattended.

4.2 Installing Batteries in the Transmitter

  1. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the transmitter.
  2. Insert the required number of AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.3 Installing the Vehicle Battery

  1. Remove the body shell from the RC car by detaching the body clips.
  2. Locate the battery compartment or tray on the chassis.
  3. Place the charged Ni-MH battery pack into the compartment.
  4. Connect the battery connector to the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) connector. Ensure a secure connection.
  5. Secure the battery in place using any provided straps or clips.
  6. Reattach the body shell.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On

  1. Turn on the transmitter first. The indicator light should illuminate.
  2. Turn on the RC car by flipping the power switch on the ESC.
  3. The transmitter and receiver should automatically bind. If not, refer to the binding procedure in your radio system's specific manual.

5.2 Basic Controls

  • Throttle Trigger: Pull the trigger towards you to accelerate forward. Push the trigger away from you for reverse and braking.
  • Steering Wheel: Turn the wheel left to steer the car left, and right to steer the car right.

5.3 Driving Tips

  • Start with gentle throttle and steering inputs to get accustomed to the car's response.
  • Practice in a large, open area free of obstacles.
  • Avoid driving on wet surfaces or through puddles, as this can damage electronics.
  • Monitor battery life. When the car's speed noticeably decreases, it's time to recharge the battery.

5.4 Powering Off

  1. Turn off the RC car first by flipping the power switch on the ESC.
  2. Turn off the transmitter.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and performance of your HIMOTO NASCADA RC car.

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the car to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air. Avoid using water directly on electronics.
  • Battery Care: Always fully charge and discharge Ni-MH batteries periodically to maintain their capacity. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • Motor Inspection: Periodically check the RC-540 brushed motor for signs of wear or damage. Ensure the motor wires are securely connected.
  • Gear Mesh: Check the gear mesh between the pinion gear and spur gear. It should have a small amount of play. Adjust if necessary.
  • Screw Tightness: Regularly check all screws and fasteners for tightness. Re-tighten as needed.
  • Suspension: Inspect the shocks and suspension arms for damage or binding. Ensure smooth movement.
