Control Buttons:
- MODE: Cycles through display modes (Time, Alarm, Date) and confirms settings.
- SET: Enters setting mode for time, date, and alarm.
- UP (▲): Increases values during setting.
- DOWN (▼): Decreases values during setting.
- TIMER: Activates or deactivates the timer function (if available).
- LIGHT/SNOOZE (Top Button): Illuminates the display temporarily and activates the snooze function when the alarm sounds.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 3).
- Slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
- Insert the required batteries (typically AAA, not included) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
The clock should power on automatically once batteries are inserted. If the display remains blank, check battery orientation or replace with fresh batteries.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting Time and Date
- Press the MODE button repeatedly until the time display is active.
- Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds until the hour digit starts flashing.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press SET to confirm the hour and move to the minute setting.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Continue pressing SET to cycle through and set the year, month, and day using the UP or DOWN buttons.
- Press MODE or wait for 10 seconds without input to exit the setting mode.
2. Setting the Alarm
- Press the MODE button until the alarm time is displayed (often indicated by an alarm icon).
- Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds until the alarm hour digit starts flashing.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press SET to confirm the alarm hour and move to the alarm minute setting.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press MODE or wait for 10 seconds without input to exit the alarm setting mode.
3. Activating/Deactivating the Alarm
While in alarm display mode, press the UP button to toggle the alarm ON or OFF. An alarm icon will appear on the display when the alarm is active.
4. Snooze Function and Backlight
When the alarm sounds, press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button located on the top of the clock to temporarily silence the alarm. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (typically 5-10 minutes). Pressing any other button will turn off the alarm until the next set time.
Press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button at any time to illuminate the display for a few seconds.
5. Temperature Display
The clock automatically displays the ambient temperature. The unit of temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit) can usually be toggled by pressing the DOWN button while in normal time display mode, or by a dedicated switch in the battery compartment.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or functions become erratic. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones.
- Storage: If the clock will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: Check battery installation. Replace batteries with fresh ones.
- Alarm does not sound: Ensure the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible). Check alarm time settings.
- Incorrect time/date: Re-enter setting mode and adjust time/date as per instructions.
- Temperature reading seems inaccurate: Ensure the clock is placed away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or air conditioning vents that could affect local temperature readings.
