1. Introduction

5. Installation Guide

5.1. Spark Plug Replacement

2. Disconnect the Spark Plug Wire: Carefully pull the rubber boot and wire off the spark plug terminal.
3. Remove the Old Spark Plug: Use a spark plug wrench to loosen and remove the old spark plug by turning it counter-clockwise.
4. Install the New Spark Plug: Hand-thread the new spark plug into the cylinder head to avoid cross-threading. Once finger-tight, use the spark plug wrench to tighten it an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Do not overtighten.
5. Reconnect the Spark Plug Wire: Push the rubber boot firmly back onto the new spark plug terminal until it clicks into place.

5.2. Air Filter Replacement

1. Access the Air Filter Housing: Depending on your chainsaw model, you may need to remove the top cover or a specific air filter cover. This usually involves unscrewing a few fasteners or releasing clips.
2. Remove the Old Air Filter: Carefully lift out the old air filter. Note its orientation for correct installation of the new filter.
3. Clean the Housing: Wipe away any debris or sawdust from the air filter housing before installing the new filter.
4. Install the New Air Filter: Place the new air filter into the housing, ensuring it fits snugly and seals properly.
5. Secure the Housing: Reattach the air filter cover or top cover, ensuring all fasteners are tightened or clips are secured.

5.3. Fuel Filter Replacement

1. Drain Fuel Tank: It is advisable to drain the fuel tank before replacing the fuel filter to prevent spills.
2. Locate the Fuel Filter: The fuel filter is typically located inside the fuel tank, attached to the end of the fuel line. You may need to use a hook or pliers to carefully retrieve it through the fuel tank opening.
3. Remove the Old Fuel Filter: Disconnect the old fuel filter from the fuel line. Be prepared for a small amount of fuel to drip.
4. Install the New Fuel Filter: Attach the new fuel filter securely to the fuel line. Ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks.
5. Return to Tank: Carefully place the fuel filter back into the fuel tank.
6. Refill Fuel: Refill the fuel tank with the appropriate fuel mixture as specified by your chainsaw manufacturer.

6. Maintenance Schedule

• Spark Plug: Inspect every 25 hours of operation or annually. Replace if electrodes are worn, fouled, or damaged.
• Air Filter: Clean after every 5-10 hours of operation or as needed in dusty conditions. Replace if cleaning does not restore proper airflow or if the filter is damaged.
• Fuel Filter: Inspect annually or every 50 hours of operation. Replace if clogged or damaged.
