1. Product Overview
The CCYC AC-PW20 DC Coupler is designed to provide continuous power to compatible Sony cameras, replacing the standard NP-FW50 battery. This system allows for extended shooting sessions, such as long-duration photography, videography, or live streaming, without the need to frequently change batteries. It connects to a USB power source, such as a power bank or a wall adapter, to deliver stable power to your camera.

Important Note: This item is not fully compatible with Sony a7R II, a7 II, and a6300 cameras. For these models, a newer version of the AC-PW20 is recommended.
3. Package Contents

4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to install the AC-PW20 DC Coupler into your camera:
- Open Battery Compartment: Open the battery compartment door on your camera and locate the power cable outlet notch.
- Insert Dummy Battery: Insert the AC-PW20 DC Coupler (dummy battery) into the camera's battery slot, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
- Route Power Cable: Close the battery compartment door, carefully routing the power cable through the designated power cable outlet notch. This allows the door to close completely while the cable exits the camera body.
- Connect to Power Source: Connect the USB end of the power cable to a suitable USB power supply.

Power Source Requirement: Ensure your USB power source (power bank or wall adapter) provides an output of 5V and 2A or more. Using a power source with insufficient output (e.g., a computer USB port, which typically provides 0.5A) will prevent the camera from operating correctly.
5. Operating Instructions
Once the AC-PW20 DC Coupler is correctly installed and connected to an adequate power source, your camera will receive continuous power. This allows for extended operation without battery changes, ideal for studio work, time-lapse photography, long video recordings, or live streaming.
- Outdoor Use: Connect to a power bank with a 5V 2A or higher output. The camera's operating time will depend on the power bank's capacity.
- Indoor Use: Connect to a wall plug adapter with a 5V 2A or higher output.

6. Maintenance

- Keep Dry: Avoid exposing the coupler and cable to moisture or liquids.

- Handle with Care: Avoid bending or pulling the cable excessively, especially near the connectors, to prevent internal damage.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AC-PW20 DC Coupler, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Camera does not power on:
- Verify that your USB power source provides at least 5V 2A output. Many computer USB ports or older wall adapters do not meet this requirement.
- Ensure the dummy battery is inserted correctly into the camera's battery compartment.
- Check all cable connections for security.
- Camera powers on but battery level decreases:
- This indicates insufficient power input. Confirm your power source's output is 5V 2A or higher. The capacity of the power bank is not the determining factor for output power.
- Consider using a recommended power bank, such as those from ANKER, for optimal performance.
- Battery compartment door does not close:
- Ensure the power cable is properly routed through the designated notch in the battery compartment door.
