Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the ZEKOO 16FT Double Track Bypass Sliding Barn Door Hardware Kit. Safety Information
- Ceiling Clearance: A minimum of 9 inches of ceiling clearance is required above the door opening for proper installation.
- Door Thickness: Doors must not be thicker than 2 inches. The recommended door thickness is between 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches. Contact customer support if different length spacers or roller bolts are needed for your door thickness.
- Wall Structure: Do not install the hardware directly onto sheetrock or drywall without adequate structural support (studs). The wall must be capable of supporting the weight of the hardware kit and the doors (up to 230 lbs per door).
- Wall Reinforcement: If studs do not align with mounting points, it is highly recommended to install a header board (e.g., a 1x6 or 2x8 wood board) securely fastened to wall studs. This provides a solid mounting surface for the track and can also offer additional clearance for baseboards.
- Hardware Handling: The kit contains many small parts. Handle all hardware carefully to avoid loss. No extra nuts or bolts are included.
- Professional Assistance: If you are unsure about any installation steps or wall structural integrity, consult a qualified professional.

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for a successful installation. It is recommended to have at least two people for certain stages of installation due to the weight and size of the components.
- Prepare the Wall: Ensure the wall has adequate structural support. If installing on drywall without studs, install a sturdy header board (e.g., 1x6 or 2x8) securely into wall studs. Mark the desired height for the track.
- Mark and Drill Track and Bracket Holes: Based on your door dimensions and desired track height, mark the precise locations for drilling holes for the track and bracket mounting. Use a level to ensure accuracy. It is often easier to mark points rather than drawing full lines to avoid visible marks after installation.
- Install the Inside Track: Attach the inside track to the wall using spacers and bolts. Ensure the track is level and securely fastened.
- Attach Brackets and Install the Outside Track: It can be easier to mount the wall-side portion of the brackets first. Then, loosely pre-assemble the other halves of the brackets onto the outside rail. Lift this assembly into place, aligning it with the wall-mounted bracket portions, and secure all connections. Ensure the connecting bracket is positioned on the bottom to prevent interference with door rolling.
- Attach Steel Hangers to Doors: Secure the J-shape hangers to the top edge of your barn doors. Ensure they are evenly spaced and tightened.
- Hang Doors and Install Anti-jump Pads: Carefully lift and hang the doors onto their respective tracks. Install the anti-jump pads on top of each door to prevent them from lifting off the track.
- Install Door Stoppers: Position the door stoppers at the ends of the tracks to prevent the doors from rolling off. Adjust their placement to control the door's travel distance.
- Adjust Door Position and Install Floor Guides: Adjust the opening and closing positions of your doors. Install the floor guides at the bottom to keep the doors aligned and prevent excessive swinging. For doors without a pre-cut groove, a circular saw can be used to create a bottom groove approximately half the door's thickness and 1/2 inch deep. Make one cut, then flip the door and make another parallel cut to create the channel.
- Final Tightening and Adjustment: Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened. You may need to use additional washers (not included) to ensure no parts rub together, especially if your doors are on the thinner side of the recommended thickness range.

Operating Instructions
The ZEKOO Double Track Bypass system allows for independent operation of two barn doors. To operate, simply grasp the door handle and slide the door along its designated track. The nylon-covered wheels and high-purity Gcr15 steel bearings ensure a smooth and quiet sliding motion.
- Ensure the path of the doors is clear of obstructions before sliding.
- Slide doors gently to prevent unnecessary wear on components.
- The door stoppers are designed to prevent the doors from rolling off the rail and provide a buffer.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ZEKOO barn door hardware kit.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the tracks and rollers with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Regularly check all bolts and screws for tightness. Over time, vibrations from door movement can cause fasteners to loosen.
- Smooth Operation: The rollers feature high-purity Gcr15 steel bearings and nylon covers for durability and smooth, quiet operation. If any squeaking or resistance is noticed, inspect the rollers and tracks for obstructions or damage.
- Track Condition: The black electrostatic sprayed carbon steel track is designed to resist corrosion, rust, and scratches. However, avoid harsh impacts that could damage the finish.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Problem: Wall anchors fail or tear drywall.
Solution: The provided drywall anchors may not be suitable for all wall types or heavy doors. It is strongly recommended to install into wall studs or a securely mounted header board. Consider using alternative heavy-duty anchors from a local hardware store if studs are not accessible. - Problem: Tracks or rollers are misaligned, causing doors to rub or not slide smoothly.
Solution: Double-check all measurements and ensure the tracks are perfectly level. Verify that the connecting brackets are installed on the bottom of the rails to prevent interference. Ensure sufficient washers are used on bolts to create necessary clearance between components. - Problem: Rail sags after installation.
Solution: This indicates insufficient wall support. Re-evaluate the wall structure and reinforce it with a header board securely fastened to studs. Ensure all mounting bolts are tightened to specification. - Problem: Doors are noisy or difficult to slide.
Solution: Inspect the tracks for debris and clean them. Check rollers for any damage or obstructions. Ensure all bolts are tightened, but not overtightened, which could impede roller movement. - Problem: Doors lift off the track.
Solution: Verify that the anti-jump pads are correctly installed on the top edge of each door and are positioned to prevent the door from disengaging from the track.
