Setup Guide

Battery Installation

The Godox Xpro-C requires two AA batteries for operation.

Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the unit. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment.

Mounting to Camera

The Xpro-C features a hot shoe mount for secure attachment to your camera.

Slide the hot shoe of the Xpro-C into your camera's hot shoe slot until it clicks into place. Tighten the locking ring for a secure connection.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

To power on the device, slide the "ON/OFF" switch located on the side of the unit. The large LCD screen will illuminate.

To power off, slide the switch back to the "OFF" position.

Basic Controls

The Xpro-C features an intuitive control layout:

  • Group Buttons (A-E): Dedicated buttons on the left side allow quick selection and adjustment of individual flash groups.
  • Function Buttons: Four buttons below the screen (CH/ZM, SYNC, ALL, MOD) provide access to channel, zoom, sync mode, and modeling light controls.
  • SET Button & Dial: The central dial and SET button are used for navigating menus and adjusting values.
  • MODE Button: Cycles through flash modes (TTL, Manual, Multi).
  • TCM Button: Long press to convert TTL flash value to Manual power output; short press to switch between one-group and multi-group mode.

Flash Modes

TTL Autoflash Mode

In TTL mode, the flash trigger automatically adjusts flash output for correct exposure. Use the MODE button to select TTL.

Manual Flash Mode

For precise control, switch to Manual mode using the MODE button. Adjust power output for each group using the dial and group buttons.

Multi Flash Mode

This mode allows for stroboscopic flash, firing multiple flashes during a single exposure. Refer to the full user guide for detailed settings.

High-Speed Sync (HSS)

The Xpro-C supports 1/8000s High-Speed Sync, enabling you to use flash at shutter speeds faster than your camera's native sync speed. Activate HSS via the SYNC button.

Wireless ID Settings

To avoid signal interference, set the Wireless ID (01-99) on both the trigger and your flash units to the same value.

Versatile Usage Scenarios

The Godox Xpro-C can be used in various configurations to suit your photographic needs:

  • Wireless Godox Flash Trigger: Control camera flashes, outdoor flashes, and studio flashes with built-in Godox wireless X system.
  • Wireless Canon Speedlights Trigger: Use in combination with an X1R-C receiver to control original Canon speedlights.
  • Wireless Shutter Release Trigger: Connect to your camera via a 2.5mm sync cord to remotely trigger the camera's shutter.
  • Flash Trigger with 2.5mm Sync Cord Jack: Trigger flashes without the Godox X system using the sync cord.

Maintenance

  • Keep the unit dry. Do not handle with wet hands.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Flash Not Firing

  • Ensure batteries are correctly installed and charged.
  • Verify the trigger and flash units are on the same channel and Wireless ID.
  • Check that the trigger is securely mounted on the camera's hot shoe.
  • Confirm the flash unit is powered on and set to receiver mode (if applicable).
  • If using a 2.5mm sync cord, ensure it is properly connected to both the trigger and the flash/camera.

Screen Not Displaying

  • Check battery level and replace if necessary.
  • Ensure the power switch is in the "ON" position.

Inconsistent Flash Output

  • Check for strong signal interference from other wireless devices. Adjust Wireless ID if needed.
  • Ensure flash units are within the effective transmission range (0-100m).
  • Verify flash mode settings (TTL/Manual) are appropriate for your shooting conditions.
