1. Product Overview

The Bissell Zing Canister Bagless Vacuum, Model 2156A, is designed for powerful and continuous suction across both carpets and hard floors. Its compact and lightweight design, combined with swivel steering, allows for easy maneuverability around furniture and between rooms. This vacuum features a bagless system with an easy-empty dirt cup and washable filters for convenient maintenance.

2. Setup and Assembly

Assembly is required for initial use. Please follow the steps below to set up your vacuum cleaner.

• Attach the flexible hose to the main unit by aligning the connector and twisting until it clicks into place.
• Connect the telescopic wand to the hose handle.
• Attach the desired floor tool (multi-surface floor tool for general cleaning) to the end of the telescopic wand.
• Ensure the dirt cup is securely latched onto the main unit.

3. Operating Instructions

The Bissell Zing is designed for ease of use with powerful cyclonic suction.

• Power On/Off: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The vacuum features a retractable cord for easy storage; simply press the cord rewind button to retract. Press the power button (Controller Type: Push Button) located on the unit to turn the vacuum on or off.
• Floor Type Selection: Easily switch between cleaning carpets and hard floors with the flip of a switch on the multi-surface floor tool.
• Maneuverability: The lightweight design (7.5 pounds) and swivel steering allows for effortless movement around furniture and obstacles. Use the integrated carrying handle for portability.
• Reach: The 4.67 feet hose length and telescopic wand provide extended reach for cleaning high areas, corners, and under furniture.

4. Maintenance

• Easy Empty Dirt Cup: The 2-liter dirt cup provides mess-free, bottom-tank emptying. Simply unlatch and empty the contents into a trash bin.

• Washable Filters: The DIRT cup filters and Post-Motor filter are washable and reusable. Remove them from the dirt cup, rinse under running water, and allow them to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not operate the vacuum with wet filters.

5. Troubleshooting

• Loss of Suction: Check if the dirt cup is full and needs emptying. Ensure filters are clean and dry. Inspect the hose and attachments for any blockages.
• Attachment Wand Loosening: If the attachment wand comes loose easily, ensure it is firmly jammed into the hose connection.
• Overheating: If the unit heats up excessively, turn it off and allow it to cool down for a period. This may indicate a blockage or full filter.
• Difficulty with Large Debris on Hard Floors: The floor attachment may struggle with larger debris like cereal on hard floors. For such items, consider using the hose directly or a different attachment.
• Cord Issues: Some users have reported cord issues after extended use. Ensure the cord is not kinked or damaged.
