- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Ensure a stable footing and clear work area before operating the saw.
- Keep hands and feet away from the chain when the saw is running.
- Do not operate the saw in wet conditions or near flammable liquids or gases.
- Always disconnect the battery before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
- Be aware of kickback and maintain a firm grip on the saw.
- Only use the saw for its intended purpose of cutting wood.
3. What's Included
Your Worx WG323 package includes the following components:
- 10-inch Chainsaw Unit
- 8.75-foot Extension Pole
- 20V 2.0Ah Power Share Battery
- Battery Charger
- Blade Protection Cover

4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation and Charging
- Insert the 20V Power Share battery into the battery slot on the chainsaw unit until it clicks securely into place.
- To charge the battery, slide it off the tool and connect it to the provided charger. Follow the charger's instructions for proper charging.
4.2. Chain Tensioning
The WG323 features an automatic, tool-free chain tensioning system. To adjust or check tension:
- Ensure the saw is off and the battery is removed.
- The correct chain tension is reached when the chain can be raised approximately half the drivelink depth from the guide bar in the center.
- Lift the tip of the guide bar to check if the guide bar is assembled firmly; ensure there is no movement of the guide bar.
- If the chain becomes loose, completely unscrew the Chain Tensioning Knob or turn the knob around three full turns in a counterclockwise direction, then retighten the Chain Tensioning Knob to properly reset the chain tension.

4.3. Chain Lubrication
The saw is equipped with an automatic chain lubrication system. Before each use, ensure the oil reservoir is filled with bar and chain oil (sold separately).
- Unscrew the oil cap and fill the reservoir with appropriate bar and chain oil.
- Monitor the oil level indicator window to ensure sufficient lubrication during operation.
4.4. Attaching the Extension Pole
To convert the chainsaw into a pole saw:
- Remove the battery from the chainsaw unit.
- Align the chainsaw unit with the top end of the extension pole.
- Securely attach the chainsaw to the pole using the designated locking mechanism.
- Connect the power cable from the chainsaw to the connection point on the pole.
- Insert the battery into the battery slot at the base of the extension pole.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. General Operation
To start the saw, press the safety lock-off button and then squeeze the trigger. Release the trigger to stop the saw.
5.2. Using as a Chainsaw (without pole)
For ground-level cutting and processing fallen branches, use the chainsaw independently. Its compact and lightweight design (approximately 6.2 lbs) allows for comfortable handling.

5.3. Using as a Pole Saw (with pole)
Attach the extension pole for reaching high branches. The pole provides up to 12 feet of reach, allowing you to trim limbs while keeping your feet safely on the ground. The on/off switch is conveniently located at the bottom of the pole handle.

5.4. Cutting Techniques
Always ensure the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated before cutting. Apply steady pressure and let the saw do the work. Avoid forcing the saw, which can lead to kickback or damage to the tool. For larger branches, make relief cuts to prevent pinching.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Automatic Chain Lubrication
The automatic chain lubrication system ensures the chain is continuously oiled during operation, promoting smoother cuts and extending tool life. Regularly check the oil level indicator window and refill as needed.
6.2. Automatic Chain Tensioning
The tool-free automatic chain tensioning system maintains correct chain tension, reducing wear and tear and ensuring consistent cutting performance. Refer to section 4.2 for tension adjustment if necessary.
6.3. Cleaning and Storage
After each use, clean the saw thoroughly, removing any sawdust, debris, or sap from the chain, guide bar, and motor housing. Store the saw in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children. Always attach the blade protection cover when storing.
7. Troubleshooting
- Saw not starting: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Check that the safety lock-off button is pressed before squeezing the trigger.
- Chain not cutting efficiently: Verify chain tension (Section 4.2) and ensure the oil reservoir is filled (Section 4.3). The chain may also need sharpening or replacement.
- Excessive vibration: Check chain tension and ensure all components are securely fastened. If vibration persists, discontinue use and consult customer support.
