Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, read and understand all instructions before using this vacuum cleaner.

  • Always disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before servicing or cleaning the unit.
  • Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
  • Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.

Key Components:

  • Main Unit: Houses the motor, filter system, and dust bag.
  • Hose: Connects the main unit to the wand.
  • Wand: Extends reach for floor and high-level cleaning.
  • Harness System: Cushioned shoulder straps and waist belt for comfortable wear.
  • Power Switch: Located on the side of the unit (green button).
  • Power Cord Connection: Secure port for the 50' power cord.
  • Filter Compartment: Holds the micro filter cloth bag and HEPA filter bag.

Setup

1. Installing the Filter Bags:

  1. Open the lid of the vacuum unit.
  2. Insert the micro filter cloth bag into the main compartment, ensuring it sits securely.
  3. Place the HEPA filter bag inside the cloth bag, aligning it properly.
  4. Close the lid securely.

2. Assembling the Hose and Wand:

  1. Connect the flexible vacuum hose to the inlet port on the top of the main vacuum unit. Twist until secure.
  2. Assemble the two-piece aluminum wand by connecting the two sections.
  3. Attach the assembled wand to the end of the flexible hose.
  4. Select the desired cleaning tool from the 8-piece kit and attach it to the end of the wand.

3. Connecting Power:

  1. Locate the power cord connection port on the side of the vacuum unit.
  2. Insert the 50-foot power cord into this port, ensuring a firm connection.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (120V AC).

Operating Instructions

Wearing the Vacuum:

  1. Place the backpack vacuum unit on your back, sliding your arms through the shoulder straps.
  2. Fasten the waist belt and adjust both the shoulder straps and waist belt for a snug and comfortable fit. The weight should be primarily supported by your hips.

Starting and Stopping:

  • To start the vacuum, press the green power button located on the side of the unit.
  • To stop the vacuum, press the green power button again.

Cleaning Tips:

  • Use the appropriate tool for the surface being cleaned. For example, the floor tool for large areas, crevice tool for tight spaces, and brush tool for delicate surfaces.
  • Move the wand in a steady, overlapping motion for effective cleaning.
  • Regularly check the dust bag and empty it when it is full to maintain optimal suction.

Maintenance

Emptying and Replacing Dust Bags:

For optimal performance, empty the dust bag when it is two-thirds full or when suction power decreases noticeably.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum from the power outlet.
  2. Open the lid of the vacuum unit.
  3. Carefully remove the full HEPA filter bag and dispose of it according to local regulations.
  4. The micro filter cloth bag can be emptied and reused. Shake out debris into a waste receptacle.
  5. Insert a new HEPA filter bag and re-insert the cleaned micro filter cloth bag.
  6. Close the lid securely.

Cleaning Filters:

The micro filter cloth bag can be cleaned by shaking or gently brushing off accumulated dust. Do not wash the HEPA filter bag; replace it as needed.

General Cleaning:

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Check the hose and wand for any blockages periodically.
  • Inspect the power cord for any damage. If damaged, do not use the vacuum and contact customer service.

Troubleshooting

Turn off and unplug. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Check and clear any blockages, empty bag, clean/replace filters.
