Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective cleaning with your Mytee S-300H Tempo Heated Extractor:
- Pre-test: Always pre-test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the material to be cleaned to ensure colorfastness and compatibility.
- Turn On Vacuum: Locate the vacuum switch on the control panel and turn it to the "ON" position. The vacuum motor will start, providing 85" of water lift for powerful extraction.
- Activate Heater (Optional): If heated cleaning is desired, turn the heater switch to the "ON" position. The lighted switch will indicate that the heater is active. Allow a few minutes for the water to heat up. The 600-watt heater provides powerful heating for enhanced cleaning.
- Apply Solution: Hold the upholstery tool firmly against the surface to be cleaned. Press the trigger on the tool to spray the cleaning solution onto the fabric.
- Extract: While spraying, slowly pull the tool across the surface, allowing the vacuum to extract the dirty solution. Overlap passes slightly to ensure thorough cleaning. For heavily soiled areas, multiple passes may be required.
- Rinse (Optional): After cleaning with solution, you may choose to rinse the area with clean water (without solution) to remove any residue.
- Monitor Recovery Tank: The dirty water will be collected in the recovery tank (the larger, typically black tank). Monitor the recovery tank level.

Figure 3: A close-up view of the recovery tank opening on the Mytee S-300H Tempo Heated Extractor. This opening is where the extracted dirty water is collected. It is important to regularly check and empty this tank to maintain optimal vacuum performance and prevent overflow.
- Empty Recovery Tank: When the recovery tank is full, turn off the vacuum and heater switches. Disconnect the vacuum hose and empty the dirty water. Reconnect the hose before resuming operation.
- Completion: Once cleaning is complete, turn off both the vacuum and heater switches. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your extractor.
- Empty and Rinse Tanks: After each use, empty both the solution and recovery tanks. Rinse them thoroughly with clean water to prevent residue buildup and odors.
- Clean Hoses and Tools: Rinse the vacuum hose, solution hose, and upholstery tool with clean water. Ensure no debris is lodged in the tool's spray jet or vacuum slot.
- Wipe Down Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
- Check Power Cord: Periodically inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, fraying, or cuts.
- Storage: Store the extractor in a clean, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Coil the power cord neatly and secure hoses and tools to prevent damage.
