  Motor Unit: The main power unit with the Smart Speed button for intuitive speed control. Push gently for coarse results and apply more pressure for finer results.

  Blending Shaft with ACTIVEBlade Technology: Features a flexible shaft that moves the blade up and down, providing a 250% more active cutting surface for 2 times finer blending with less effort. Also includes PowerBell Plus with an extra milling blade for larger pieces.

  Whisk Attachment: Ideal for whipping cream, beating eggs, and preparing light batters.

  Chopper (1.5-cup) & Food Processor (6-cup): For chopping herbs, nuts, cheese, and processing larger quantities of food. The 6-cup food processor also functions as a jug blender and ice crusher.

  Masher Attachment: For perfectly mashed potatoes and other vegetables. Beaker (20 fl oz): A convenient container for blending and measuring ingredients.

Setup and Assembly

The Braun MultiQuick 9 features the EasyClick Plus system for quick and secure attachment changes.

1. Attaching the Blending Shaft: Align the motor unit with the blending shaft and push them together until you hear a click. To detach, press the release buttons on the side of the motor unit and pull apart.

2. Attaching Other Accessories: For the whisk, masher, chopper, or food processor, follow similar steps. Ensure the motor unit is securely clicked into the respective gear box or lid of the attachment.
3. Power Connection: Plug the hand blender into a suitable power outlet (100-120 Volts).

Smart Speed Technology

The Smart Speed button allows you to control the blending power by simply adjusting the pressure you apply. Press gently for lower speed and coarse results, and press harder for higher speed and finer results. The smooth start feature prevents jolting upon startup.

Using the Blending Shaft

The blending shaft is ideal for preparing soups, sauces, smoothies, and baby food directly in pots, bowls, or the included beaker.

1. Place the ingredients in a suitable container.
2. Immerse the blending shaft into the ingredients.
3. Press the Smart Speed button to start blending. Move the blender up and down for even results.
4. The ActiveBlade technology ensures efficient blending even with tough ingredients, as the blade moves up and down to process more surface area.

Using Other Attachments

• Whisk: Attach the whisk to the motor unit. Use for whipping cream, egg whites, or mixing light batters.
• Chopper/Food Processor: Place the blade in the bowl, add ingredients, then attach the lid with the motor unit. Use for chopping, mincing, or processing. The 6-cup food processor can also crush ice.
• Masher: Attach the masher to the motor unit. Use for mashing cooked vegetables like potatoes.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your hand blender. Most parts are dishwasher-safe, but always refer to the specific instructions for each component.

• Motor Unit: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
• Blending Shaft, Whisk, Masher, Beaker, Chopper/Food Processor Bowls & Blades: Rinse immediately after use. Most of these parts are dishwasher-safe. For stubborn food residue, soak in warm soapy water before cleaning.
• Blades: Handle blades with extreme care as they are very sharp.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Braun MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender, try the following common solutions:

• Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the motor unit is correctly attached to the accessory.
