1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient use of your VINIK VFE-1801 Switched Power Supply. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference. This power supply is designed for general use, including compatibility with certain guitar pedals and electric screwdrivers, provided voltage and current requirements are met.

2. Safety Instructions

• Voltage Compatibility: Always ensure that the voltage (Volts) of the power supply is compatible with the device you intend to power.
• Current (Amperage): The current (Amperes) of the power supply can be equal to or greater than the current required by the device. It must not be less than the device's requirement. For example, if a device requires 1A, any power supply with an amperage of 1A or higher will be compatible, provided the voltage is the same.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your VINIK VFE-1801 power supply:

4. Connect to Power Outlet: Plug the power supply's AC plug into a standard 100-240V AC wall outlet. The power supply features automatic bivolt functionality, adapting to the input voltage.

4. Operating Instructions

Once properly connected, the power supply will automatically provide power to your device. There are no user-adjustable settings on the power supply itself. The automatic bivolt feature ensures compatibility with input voltages ranging from 100V to 240V AC.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet and the device before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the power supply in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid wrapping the cable too tightly around the unit.
• Inspection: Periodically check the power supply and its cable for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage.

• No Power Output:
  • Ensure the power supply is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
  • Verify that the device is correctly connected to the power supply.
  • Check if the device itself is functioning correctly with another compatible power source, if available.
• Device Not Functioning Correctly:
  • Reconfirm that the voltage (18V) and polarity (positive center) of the power supply match your device's requirements exactly.
  • Ensure the current (1A) is sufficient for your device. If your device requires more than 1A, this power supply is not suitable.
• Overheating:
  • Disconnect the power supply immediately.
  • Ensure it is not covered or placed in an enclosed space. Allow it to cool down.
  • If overheating persists, discontinue use and contact support.
