5. Setup Instructions

5.1. Inserting SIM Card and MicroSD Card

  1. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing cards.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot and MicroSD card slot on the camera base (refer to Figure 4.3).
  3. Insert a valid 3G/4G SIM card into the SIM card slot with the metal contacts facing down and the notched corner oriented correctly. Push until it clicks into place.
  4. Insert a MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB) into the MicroSD card slot with the metal contacts facing down. Push until it clicks into place.

5.2. Powering On the Camera

  1. Connect the provided 5V power adapter to the DC 5V power input port on the back of the camera.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. The camera will power on, and the status indicator light will illuminate. Wait for the camera to complete its self-test and initialization process (this may take a few minutes).

5.3. App Installation and Camera Pairing

The PROXE 161011 camera is controlled via a dedicated mobile application available for Android and iOS devices.

  1. Download the App: Search for the official PROXE camera app in the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS) and install it on your smartphone.
  2. Create an Account: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new user account.
  3. Add Camera: In the app, select the option to 'Add Device' or 'Add Camera'.
  4. Select Connection Type: Choose between 3G/4G connection (if using a SIM card) or Wi-Fi connection.
  5. Pairing Process:
    • For 3G/4G: The camera should automatically connect to the cellular network if the SIM card is active and has data. The app will guide you through detecting the camera.
    • For Wi-Fi: Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password when prompted by the app. The app may use a QR code scan or sound wave pairing method. Follow the specific instructions provided within the app.
  6. Complete Setup: Once the camera is successfully paired, you can name your camera and configure initial settings within the app.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Live View

After successful pairing, open the app and select your camera from the device list to access the live video feed. You can view the camera's perspective in real-time.

6.2. Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Control

The PROXE 161011 features PTZ functionality. In the live view interface of the app, you will find controls to remotely pan (rotate horizontally), tilt (rotate vertically), and digitally zoom the camera to adjust its viewing angle.

6.3. Two-Way Audio

The camera supports bi-directional audio. In the live view, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker, and tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's surroundings.

6.4. Recording and Playback

  • Manual Recording: During live view, tap the record button in the app to manually start and stop video recording. These recordings are typically saved to your smartphone or the MicroSD card.
  • Motion Detection Recording: Configure motion detection settings in the app. The camera can automatically record when motion is detected and save footage to the MicroSD card.
  • Playback: Access recorded footage via the 'Playback' or 'History' section in the app. You can browse by date and time to review events stored on the MicroSD card.

6.5. Alarm Functions

The app allows you to set up various alarm functions, such as motion detection alerts. When an alarm is triggered, you can receive notifications on your smartphone and the camera can initiate recording.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
