1. Important Safety Information

  • Outdoor Use Only: This heater is designed exclusively for outdoor use. Do not use indoors, in tents, or in any enclosed or poorly ventilated areas. Kerosene heaters produce carbon monoxide, which is odorless and deadly.
  • Proper Fuel: Use only high-quality, clear kerosene (K-1 grade). Never use gasoline, benzene, alcohol, paint thinners, or any other flammable liquids. Using improper fuel can cause fire or explosion.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation even when used outdoors.
  • Stable Surface: Always place the heater on a firm, level, non-combustible surface.
  • Clearance: Maintain a minimum clearance of 1 meter (3 feet) from all combustible materials (walls, furniture, clothing, etc.).
  • Never Leave Unattended: Do not leave the operating heater unattended, especially around children or pets.
  • Refueling: Always turn off the heater and allow it to cool completely before refueling. Refuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging and inspect for any damage. Retain packaging for future storage.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a stable, level, non-combustible surface outdoors, away from any flammable materials.
  3. Fueling:
    • Ensure the heater is off and cool.
    • Unscrew the fuel tank cap.
    • Slowly pour clean K-1 kerosene into the tank, using a funnel to prevent spills. Do not overfill; leave some space for expansion. The tank capacity is 4.6 liters.
    • Securely replace the fuel tank cap. Wipe up any spills immediately.
  4. Wick Preparation: After filling the tank, allow approximately 30 minutes for the wick to fully absorb the kerosene before lighting. This prevents damage to the wick.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Raise the Wick: Turn the wick adjustment knob (usually labeled 'UP') clockwise to raise the wick until it is slightly above the top of the wick guide.
  2. Lighting: Using a long match or lighter, carefully light the top of the wick. Ensure the entire circumference of the wick is lit.
  3. Adjust Flame: After lighting, allow a few minutes for the flame to stabilize. Adjust the wick height using the knob to achieve a clean, blue flame without excessive smoke or yellow tips. A proper flame should be approximately 1-2 cm (0.4-0.8 inches) high.
  4. Extinguishing: To turn off the heater, turn the wick adjustment knob (usually labeled 'DOWN') counter-clockwise until the wick is fully retracted and the flame is extinguished. Ensure the flame is completely out before leaving the heater.

  • Wick Replacement: The wick is a consumable part and will need replacement over time. Replace the wick when it becomes hard, charred, or no longer produces a clean flame.
