Operating Instructions
Cooking on Stovetops
The Tefal Ingenio Authentic pans are compatible with all heat sources, including gas, electric, ceramic, and induction hobs.
- Always use a heat source that matches the base diameter of the pan to ensure even heating and energy efficiency.
- Avoid using excessively high heat, especially when preheating, as this can damage the non-stick coating over time. Medium heat is generally sufficient for most cooking tasks.
- The Thermo-Spot indicator in the center of the pan will turn solid red when the pan has reached the optimal cooking temperature.

Oven Use
The frying pans are oven safe up to 250°C (482°F) without the handle attached. The removable handle is not oven safe and must be removed before placing the pan in the oven.
- Ensure the handle is detached before placing the pan into a preheated oven.
- Use oven mitts when handling hot pans from the oven.
- Attach the handle only after removing the pan from the oven and placing it on a heat-resistant surface.

Using Utensils
To protect the non-stick coating, use wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils. Avoid metal utensils, as they can scratch and damage the coating.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Dishwasher Safe
The frying pans are dishwasher safe. However, hand washing is recommended to prolong the life of the non-stick coating.

Hand Washing
- Allow pans to cool completely before washing.
- Wash with warm soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool, as these can damage the non-stick surface.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
Handle Care
The removable handle should be hand washed only. Do not place the handle in the dishwasher or immerse it in water for extended periods.
Storage
The Ingenio system allows for optimal, space-saving storage. Pans can be stacked neatly without handles. To protect the non-stick coating when stacking, place a soft cloth or pan protector between each pan.

Troubleshooting
- Food Sticking:
Ensure you are using a small amount of cooking oil or butter. Avoid excessively high heat. The non-stick coating performs best at medium temperatures. If the coating is damaged, consider replacing the pan.
- Handle Not Attaching Securely:
Check for any debris or food residue in the attachment mechanism on both the handle and the pan. Ensure the red button is fully depressed when attaching. If the handle is damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support.
- Pan Warping:
Sudden temperature changes (e.g., placing a hot pan under cold water) can cause warping. Always allow pans to cool gradually before washing.
