4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the supplied Micro-USB to USB cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.
4.2 Attaching the Carabiner Clip
The detachable carabiner clip can be attached to the designated loop on the speaker for easy portability, allowing you to clip it to bags, belts, or other gear.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power button (
) located at the top of the speaker until the LED indicator illuminates. - To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator turns off.
5.2 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on. The LED indicator will flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
- Search for available devices. The speaker will appear as "iSBW157BU" or similar.
- Select the speaker from the list to initiate pairing.
- Once successfully paired, the LED indicator on the speaker will stop flashing and remain solid.
5.3 Controlling Playback and Volume
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (often combined with the pairing button, labeled "PAIR/II") once to play or pause audio.
- Volume Up: Press the Volume Up button (+) to increase volume.
- Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up button (+) to skip to the next track.
- Volume Down: Press the Volume Down button (-) to decrease volume.
- Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down button (-) to go to the previous track.
5.4 Hands-Free Calling
When connected via Bluetooth, the speaker can be used for hands-free calls:
- Answer/End Call: Press the Play/Pause/Answer Phone button once to answer an incoming call or end an active call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Play/Pause/Answer Phone button to reject an incoming call.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when cleaning or when the speaker is exposed to water.
6.2 Storage
Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery periodically to maintain its lifespan.
