Setup

1. Battery Installation

2. Insert two (2) LR6 AA 1.5V batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: The clock will automatically attempt to receive the DCF77 radio signal after battery insertion. This process may take several minutes.

2. Initial Time Synchronization (DCF77)

Upon battery insertion, the clock will automatically search for the DCF77 radio signal.

Place the clock near a window for optimal reception. Avoid placing it near electronic devices that may cause interference.

A radio signal icon (often a tower or antenna symbol) will flash on the display during synchronization. Once successfully synchronized, the icon will appear solid.

Note: If the signal is not received within 10-15 minutes, the clock will operate using its internal quartz movement. You may need to manually set the time.

Operating Instructions

Manual Time and Date Setting

In areas without DCF77 reception, or if you prefer manual setting:

1. Press and hold the SET or MODE button (refer to your clock's specific button layout) until the time display flashes.
2. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the hour. Press SET or MODE to confirm and move to minutes.
3. Repeat for minutes, year, month, and day.
4. Press SET or MODE again to exit setting mode.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The clock features two independent alarm times.

1. Press the ALARM button (or MODE until "AL1" or "AL2" is displayed).
2. Press and hold ALARM (or SET) until the alarm time flashes.
3. Use + or - to set the desired alarm hour, then press ALARM (or SET) to confirm.
4. Use + or - to set the desired alarm minute, then press ALARM (or SET) to confirm and exit.
5. To activate an alarm, slide the corresponding alarm switch (e.g., "ALARM 1 ON/OFF") to the ON position. An alarm icon will appear on the display.

Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/LIGHT button on top of the clock. The alarm will pause for approximately 5-10 minutes and then sound again.

Display Backlight

Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to temporarily illuminate the display for a few seconds.

Night Light Sensor

The clock is equipped with a night light sensor. When activated (check for a specific switch or setting, if available), the display will automatically illuminate dimly in low-light conditions for easy viewing at night.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the casing or display.

Battery Replacement

When the display dims or the clock functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new LR6 AA 1.5V batteries.

Troubleshooting

Clock not displaying time or functions:

• Check if batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
• Replace old batteries with new ones.

Incorrect time displayed:

• Ensure the clock is within range of the DCF77 signal. Try moving it to a different location, preferably near a window.
• Manually set the time if DCF77 reception is consistently poor.

Alarm not sounding:

• Verify that the alarm is set to ON using the alarm switch.
