4. Setup

4.1 Mounting the Scope

  1. Select Mounts: Choose the appropriate mounting rings (11mm Dovetail or 20mm Weaver/Picatinny) for your firearm's rail system.
  2. Attach Rings: Securely attach the bottom halves of the mounting rings to your firearm's rail. Ensure they are spaced correctly to accommodate the scope's length and provide proper eye relief.
  3. Place Scope: Carefully place the rifle scope into the bottom halves of the rings.
  4. Adjust Eye Relief: Position the scope forward or backward until you achieve optimal eye relief. This is the distance from your eye to the eyepiece where you see a full, clear field of view.
  5. Level Reticle: Rotate the scope body until the reticle is perfectly level with the firearm.
  6. Secure Top Rings: Place the top halves of the rings over the scope and tighten the screws evenly. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the scope tube. Ensure the scope is held firmly without rotation.

4.2 Battery Installation for Reticle Illumination

The illuminated reticle requires one CR2032 battery (not included due to shipping policies).

  1. Locate the illumination knob on the left side of the scope.
  2. Unscrew the battery cap from the center of the illumination knob.
  3. Insert a fresh CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards.
  4. Replace the battery cap and tighten it securely to maintain the waterproof seal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Magnification Adjustment

Rotate the magnification ring, located near the eyepiece, to adjust the zoom level from 3x to 12x. The numbers on the ring indicate the current magnification setting.

5.2 Eyepiece Focus Adjustment

To ensure a sharp reticle, look through the scope at a plain, bright background (like the sky) and rotate the eyepiece until the reticle appears crisp and clear.

5.3 Parallax Adjustment (Adjustable Objective - AO)

The adjustable objective ring, located at the front of the scope, allows you to correct for parallax error. Rotate this ring to match the estimated distance to your target. This ensures that the target and reticle appear in the same focal plane, eliminating apparent reticle movement when you shift your eye position.

5.4 Reticle Illumination

The illumination knob on the left side of the scope controls the reticle's color and brightness:

  • Rotate the knob to select Red (R), Green (G), or Blue (B) illumination.
  • Each color has 3 brightness levels. Continue rotating the knob to cycle through the brightness settings.
  • To turn off illumination, rotate the knob to the 'off' position between color settings. If the dial is on a letter (R, B, or G) without a brightness level selected, the reticle will appear black.

5.5 Windage and Elevation Adjustment

The windage (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) turrets are located on the top and right side of the scope, respectively. These turrets are used to zero the scope to your point of impact.

  1. Uncap Turrets: Remove the protective caps from the windage and elevation turrets.
  2. Adjust: Each click of the turret moves the point of impact by a specific amount (e.g., 1/4 MOA). Turn the elevation turret (top) to adjust vertically and the windage turret (right) to adjust horizontally. Follow the 'UP' and 'R' (Right) indicators for direction.
  3. Zeroing: After zeroing your firearm, you can reset the turrets to '0'. To do this, lift the turret cap, rotate it until the '0' aligns with the indicator mark, and then push it back down to lock it in place.
  4. Recap Turrets: Replace the protective caps after adjustments to prevent accidental changes and protect the turrets from elements.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust and smudges. For stubborn marks, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning Body: Wipe the scope's body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or debris.
  • Storage: Store the scope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the protective lens covers when not in use.
  • Check Mounts: Periodically check that the mounting rings are securely tightened to prevent shifting and maintain zero.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Blurry Image: Adjust the eyepiece focus for a sharp reticle. Then, adjust the adjustable objective (AO) ring to eliminate parallax and achieve a clear target image at your desired distance.
  • Reticle Not Illuminating: Check if the CR2032 battery is correctly installed with the positive (+) side facing out. Replace the battery if it is depleted. Ensure the illumination knob is set to a color and brightness level, not an 'off' position.
  • Difficulty Zeroing / Not Holding Zero:
    • Ensure the scope is securely mounted to the firearm. Check all mounting screws for tightness.
    • Verify that the mounting rings are compatible with your firearm's rail and are installed correctly.
    • Inspect the scope for any visible damage or loose components.
    • Confirm that the windage and elevation turrets are functioning correctly and clicking positively.
  • Fogging: While the scope is nitrogen-purged and fogproof, extreme temperature changes can sometimes cause external condensation. Allow the scope to acclimate to the ambient temperature. If internal fogging occurs, contact customer support.
