Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the Direct-Lighting H System Track Outlet Adapter H860-BK (BLACK). This adapter is designed to provide an electrical receptacle (5 Amp maximum) for H system, 3-wire-1 circuit track lighting systems. It is UL Listed for indoor use only.

Setup and Installation

Caution: Read all instructions before installation.

• Turn off switch at main power source before installation.
• Match the polarity line on the track to the track fixture.
• Pull down the adapter sleeve.
• Rotate 90° of the head adapter until the adapter sleeve snaps into the track groove and locks into place.
• Removal is the reverse procedure. Track fixtures may be positioned anywhere along the track.

Compatibility

This adapter is designed exclusively for H Compatible Track Lighting Systems, also known as HT, which are 3-wire-1 circuit track lighting systems. These systems feature 2-clip terminals on one side and 1-clip terminal on the other side, with a 15/16-inch measurement from tip to tip.

Important: This adapter is NOT COMPATIBLE with Juno Compatible Track Lighting Systems (JT) or J Track Lights Systems, nor with Lightolier Compatible Track Lighting Systems (LT) or L Track Systems, which are 2-wire 1 circuit systems.

Operating Instructions

Once the H System Track Outlet Adapter is securely installed in your compatible track lighting system, it functions as a standard electrical receptacle. You can plug any device requiring 120V and drawing up to 5 Amps into the adapter's outlet.

Ensure that any device plugged into the adapter does not exceed the 5 Amp maximum capacity to prevent overloading the circuit and potential damage to the adapter or the track system.

To remove the adapter, simply reverse the installation steps: pull down the adapter sleeve and rotate it 90 degrees to disengage it from the track groove.

Maintenance

• Periodically inspect the adapter and the track for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.

Identify the problem and trouble shoot:

Check polarity line. All track components are both mechanically and visually polarized. Proper connections are very important. Track has a debrossed polarity line which indicates the positive side.

1. Check the metal prongs on the top of the fixture. There are 3 prongs on top, please make sure 3 prongs are flat which is 180 degrees and no tilt up or down. If you see any angles up or down (even very little angle), please use pliers to push or pull it back to correct position and make sure they are all 180 degree flat and parallel to each other.
2. After adjustment, you can install the fixture on the track. Before snapping the fixture on the track, take a look which side of tracks comes 2 wires inside and which side comes only 1 wire. Make sure 2 prongs side on the fixture goes to 2 wire side when you first snap fixture on. If you turn it back and turn the other way, the metal prongs are bent already and needed to be adjusted again.
