Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your National Tree Company Dunhill Fir 6-Foot Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Tree. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and retain this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
- Ensure all electrical connections are secure and follow local electrical codes.
- Do not overload electrical outlets.
- Keep the tree away from heat sources and open flames.
- This product is intended for indoor use only.
- Always unplug the tree from the power source before performing any maintenance or when leaving unattended for extended periods.
- The tree is constructed with fire-resistant needles; however, this does not make it fireproof.
Setup Guide
Follow these steps to assemble your artificial Christmas tree:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all tree sections, the metal stand, and any accessories from the packaging. Inspect all parts for damage.
- Assemble the Stand: Open the metal tree stand and insert the bottom tree section into the stand. Secure it with the provided thumbscrew. Ensure the stand is stable on a flat surface.
- Connect Tree Sections: Insert the middle tree section into the bottom section. Then, insert the top tree section into the middle section. The tree is designed with a hinged branch system, allowing branches to fall into place automatically.
- Connect Light Cords: Each tree section has a light string cord. Connect the cord from the top section to the receptacle on the middle section, and the cord from the middle section to the receptacle on the bottom section. The extension cord at the bottom of the tree plugs into a standard electrical outlet.
- Shape the Branches: After assembly, set aside 45-60 minutes to properly shape the tree. Begin at the bottom and work your way up, peeling back the branches and pulling the tips apart to give the branches a full-bodied, natural appearance.

Operation
Your Dunhill Fir tree comes pre-lit with 600 white incandescent lights. These lights are designed to remain lit even if a single bulb goes out, provided the bulb lens is not cracked or broken. Simply plug the main power cord into a standard electrical outlet to illuminate the tree.

Maintenance
- Shaping: Periodically re-shape branches as needed to maintain a full appearance.
- Cleaning: Dust the tree gently with a soft cloth or use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment on a low setting. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When disassembling for storage, unplug the tree, disconnect the sections, and fold the hinged branches inward. Store the tree in its original box or a suitable tree storage bag in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
- Lights Not Working:
- Check all electrical connections between tree sections and to the wall outlet.
- Ensure all bulbs are securely seated in their sockets.
- Inspect individual bulbs for broken filaments or cracked lenses. Replace any faulty bulbs with the provided spares.
- Check the fuses in the light string plugs. Replace if blown.
- Tree Appears Sparse: This is common after unpacking. Dedicate sufficient time (45-60 minutes) to thoroughly shape and fluff each branch and tip.
- Tree is Unstable: Ensure the metal stand is fully opened and placed on a level surface. Confirm the bottom tree section is securely fastened into the stand with the thumbscrew.
