1. Product Overview
The Yardeen Electronic Hose Sprinkler Water Timer is designed to automate your garden watering schedule, providing efficient irrigation for various applications such as gravity drip irrigation, lawn sprinklers, and greenhouse mist systems. This timer operates without requiring high water pressure, making it suitable for use with rain barrels.
Key features include:
- Multi-Functional Scheduling: Adjust watering duration from 1 minute to 120 minutes.
- Flexible Intervals: Set irrigation frequency from as short as 1 hour to as long as 7 days.
- Low Water Pressure Compatibility: Functions effectively with water pressure ranging from 0 to 8 bar, ideal for rain barrel systems.
- Easy Installation: Connects directly to any standard 3/4-inch garden outdoor hose.
- Safety Features: The valve automatically closes when battery power is low. Water and electrical circuits are completely separated for enhanced safety.
- Integrated Filter: A stainless steel high-density filter at the water inlet prevents impurities from affecting the timer's internal mechanism.

4. Operating Instructions
The timer features two main dials for setting the watering schedule: 'FREQUENCY' and 'RUN TIME'.

4.1 Setting Automatic Watering Schedule
- Set Run Time: Turn the 'RUN TIME' dial to select the desired watering duration (from 1 minute to 120 minutes).
- Set Frequency: Turn the 'FREQUENCY' dial to select how often the watering cycle should repeat (from 1 hour to 7 days).
Once both dials are set, the timer will initiate the first watering cycle after the set frequency interval has elapsed. For example, if you set 'RUN TIME' to 3 minutes and 'FREQUENCY' to 4 hours, the timer will water for 3 minutes, then wait 4 hours before watering again for 3 minutes, and so on.

4.2 Manual ON/OFF Function
To manually turn the water on or off, turn the 'RUN TIME' dial to the 'ON' position for continuous watering or 'OFF' to stop watering immediately. This overrides any set automatic schedule until the dial is returned to a timed setting.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
When the batteries are low, the valve will automatically close to prevent continuous watering. Replace the batteries as described in Section 3.1. The battery life is approximately 6 months with 2 AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries.
5.2 Cleaning the Filter
The water inlet contains a stainless steel high-density filter. Periodically check and clean this filter to prevent blockages from impurities in the water, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the timer.
5.3 Winterization
Before the first frost, disconnect the water timer from the faucet and hose. Remove the batteries. Store the timer indoors in a dry, frost-free location to prevent damage from freezing water.
6. Troubleshooting
- Timer not watering: Check battery level and replace if necessary. Ensure the 'RUN TIME' dial is not set to 'OFF'. Verify water supply to the faucet.
- Water leaking from connections: Ensure all connections are hand-tightened. Check for damaged washers or O-rings and replace if needed.
- Inconsistent watering: Verify that the 'FREQUENCY' and 'RUN TIME' dials are set correctly. Clean the inlet filter for any debris.
