1. Introduction

This system combines classic aesthetics with modern audio capabilities, including Bluetooth wireless audio streaming, CD playback, USB MP3 playback, FM stereo radio, and an AUX input. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the unit and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Power Source: Operate the unit only from the power source indicated on the marking label.

Front Panel Controls:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
  • Function Button: Switches between modes (CD, Bluetooth, FM, USB, AUX).
  • Play/Pause Button: Controls playback for CD, USB, and Bluetooth.
  • Stop Button: Stops CD/USB playback.
  • Skip/Search Buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶): Skips tracks or fast forwards/rewinds.

6. Setup

6.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the unit on a stable, flat surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or moisture.
  3. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not place it in an enclosed cabinet without proper airflow.

6.2 Power Connection

Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the back of the unit, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet (AC 120V ~ 60Hz).

6.3 FM Antenna Connection

The unit has a built-in FM antenna. For improved FM reception, you may need to adjust the unit's position or connect an external FM antenna (not included) to the FM antenna jack if available.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the front panel or remote control.
  • Select Function: Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to cycle through modes: CD, Bluetooth, FM, USB, AUX.
  • Adjust Volume: Rotate the VOLUME knob on the front panel or use the VOL+/- buttons on the remote control.

7.2 Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the FUNCTION button to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), turn on Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "TY-CWU700" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the display will stop flashing and show "BT". You can now play audio from your device through the system.
  5. To disconnect, turn off Bluetooth on your device or press the PAIR button on the unit.

7.3 CD Player Operation

  1. Press the FUNCTION button to select CD mode.
  2. Open the CD compartment and carefully place a CD (CD/MP3/CD-R/CD-RW compatible) with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment. The unit will read the disc and begin playback automatically.
  4. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, and SKIP/SEARCH buttons on the unit or remote to control playback.
  5. Press REPEAT on the remote to repeat a track or the entire disc.
  6. Press RANDOM on the remote for shuffled playback.
  7. Press PROG on the remote to program a custom playback order.

7.4 USB Playback Operation

  1. Insert a USB flash drive (FAT32 format, max 32GB) into the USB port on the front panel.
  2. Press the FUNCTION button to select USB mode. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing compatible MP3 files.
  3. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, and SKIP/SEARCH buttons on the unit or remote to control playback.
  4. Press ID3 on the remote to view track information (if available).

7.5 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the FUNCTION button to select FM mode.
  2. Auto Scan and Store: Press the AUTO button on the remote. The unit will automatically scan and store up to 30 available FM stations.
  3. Manual Tuning: Use the TUN+/- buttons on the remote to manually tune to a desired frequency.
  4. Recall Presets: Use the number buttons (0-9) on the remote or the skip buttons to navigate through stored presets.
  5. Store Manually: Tune to a station, then press MEMORY on the remote. Use the skip buttons to select a preset number, then press MEMORY again to confirm.

7.6 AUX Input Operation

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the LINE IN (AUX) jack on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Press the FUNCTION button to select AUX mode.
  3. Play audio from your connected device. The sound will be output through the TY-CWU700 system.

7.7 Remote Control Usage

Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control, observing correct polarity. Point the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the main unit for optimal operation.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning the Unit

Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

8.2 CD Lens Care

Do not touch the CD lens. If the lens gets dirty, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner to clean it. Dust or dirt on the lens can cause skipping or poor sound quality.

If you experience problems with your unit, please check the following points before seeking service.
