Setup and Assembly

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or shipping. Verify all parts are present according to the packing list.

2. Placement

Place the food processor on a stable, level, and dry surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

3. Assembly

1. Ensure the motor base is unplugged.
2. Place the processing bowl onto the motor base, aligning the tabs and twisting clockwise until it locks securely.
3. Carefully place the desired blade or disc onto the center shaft within the processing bowl. Handle blades by the plastic hub, as they are very sharp.
4. Place the lid onto the processing bowl, aligning the lid tab with the handle and twisting clockwise until it locks. The unit will not operate unless the lid is properly secured.
5. Insert the food pusher into the feed tube on the lid.

Operating Instructions

1. Controls Overview

The Hobart HCM61-1 features a simple control knob for operation. Typically, this includes an OFF position and an ON position. Some models may include a PULSE function.

2. Basic Operation

1. Ensure the unit is properly assembled and plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Prepare ingredients: Cut food into pieces that fit easily into the feed tube. Do not overfill the processing bowl.
3. Place ingredients into the processing bowl or feed them through the feed tube using the food pusher. Never use your hands to push food down.
4. Turn the control knob to the ON position to begin processing. For intermittent processing, use the PULSE function if available.
5. Process until desired consistency is achieved. Avoid over-processing.
6. Turn the control knob to the OFF position and wait for the blades to stop completely before removing the lid.
7. Carefully remove the lid, then the blade/disc, and empty the processed food.

• Do not overload the bowl; process in batches if necessary.
• For liquids, ensure the bowl is not filled above the maximum liquid line.
• When chopping herbs or garlic, drop them through the feed tube while the processor is running.
