3. Maintenance

3.2 Cleaning the Drip Tray and Water Tank

Regularly remove and clean the drip tray and water tank with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reassembling. This prevents mineral buildup and ensures optimal coffee taste.

3.3 Descaling

Descaling is essential to maintain the machine's performance and extend its lifespan. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Refer to the detailed descaling instructions in the full user manual for your specific model.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Nespresso Essenza Mini, please refer to the common troubleshooting tips below. For more detailed solutions, consult the comprehensive user manual.

  • No coffee or slow flow: Ensure the water tank is filled. Check if the capsule is inserted correctly. A too coarse grind or insufficient tamping of grounds (if using reusable capsules) can also lead to inadequate pressure.
  • Leaking: Check if the water tank is properly seated. Ensure the drip tray is not overflowing.
  • Lights blinking abnormally: This may indicate a need for descaling or a system error. Refer to the user manual for specific blinking patterns.
