  • Stenner Pump 45mp2 (Model 45MFL2A1S)
  • Three (3) 1/4" Connecting Nuts
  • Three (3) Ferrules
  • One (1) Injection Check Valve (25 psi)
  • One (1) 1/4" Weighted Suction Line Strainer
  • One (1) 1/4" x 20' White Roll Suction/Discharge Tubing
  • One (1) Additional Pump Tube
  • One (1) Mounting Bracket

Setup and Installation

  1. Mounting the Pump: Securely attach the pump to a stable, vertical surface using the provided mounting bracket. Ensure the pump is level and accessible for maintenance.
  2. Tubing Connection:
    • Connect the 1/4" suction tubing to the inlet side of the pump head. Use a connecting nut and ferrule to ensure a tight, leak-free seal.
    • Attach the weighted suction line strainer to the end of the suction tubing. This strainer should be placed in the chemical supply tank.
    • Connect the 1/4" discharge tubing to the outlet side of the pump head, again using a connecting nut and ferrule.
    • Install the injection check valve at the end of the discharge tubing, where the chemical will be injected into the water line or system. This valve prevents backflow.
  3. Electrical Connection: Ensure the power source is 120 Volts. Plug the pump's power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Priming the Pump: Before initial operation, it may be necessary to prime the pump to ensure proper flow. Refer to the operating instructions for details.

Operating Instructions

The Stenner Pump 45mp2 is a fixed-speed pump, meaning its output rate is constant at 10 gpd (gallons per day) at 25 psi. Operation is straightforward:

  1. Fill Chemical Tank: Ensure the chemical supply tank contains the desired solution and the suction line strainer is fully submerged.
  2. Power On: Plug the pump into the 120V power outlet. The pump will begin operating immediately.
  3. Verify Flow: Observe the discharge line to confirm that chemical is being injected. It may take a few minutes for the pump to establish full flow, especially after initial setup or if the lines were empty.
  4. Power Off: To stop the pump, simply unplug it from the power outlet.

Note: This model does not have adjustable flow rates. The output is fixed at 10 gpd at 25 psi.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Stenner pump. Always disconnect power before performing maintenance.

  • Pump Tube Replacement: The Santoprene pump tube is a wear item and should be replaced periodically, typically every 6-12 months depending on usage and chemical aggressiveness. A spare pump tube is included.
    1. Unplug the pump.
    2. Remove the pump head cover.
    3. Carefully remove the old pump tube from the rollers.
    4. Install the new pump tube, ensuring it is properly seated around the rollers.
    5. Replace the pump head cover.
  • Tubing Inspection: Periodically inspect the suction and discharge tubing for cracks, kinks, or blockages. Replace tubing as needed.
  • Strainer Cleaning: Clean the weighted suction line strainer regularly to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Check Valve Inspection: Inspect the injection check valve for proper operation and cleanliness. A faulty check valve can lead to incorrect dosing.
