4. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before proceeding.

4.1 Mounting the Bracket

Secure the mounting bracket to a ceiling joist or a suitable support structure using the provided hardware. Ensure it is firmly attached to prevent the fan from falling.

4.2 Assembling the Fan Blades

Attach each of the five palm blades to the blade arms using the screws provided. Then, secure the blade assemblies to the motor housing.

4.3 Attaching the Downrod

Select the appropriate downrod length (4.9" or 9.8") for your ceiling height. Feed the electrical wires from the motor through the downrod. Secure the downrod to the motor assembly with the pin and screws.

4.4 Wiring and Final Assembly

Carefully connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram in the included manual. Ensure all connections are secure. Lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket. Secure the canopy to cover the wiring connections.

4.5 Installing Light Bulbs

Install 5 E26 base bulbs (not included) into the light sockets within the industrial cage lampshade. Secure the lampshade to the fan motor housing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Operation

The fan is controlled by a remote control (23A 12V battery included). Functions include:

  • Fan Speed: Adjust between 3 wind speeds.
  • Light Control: Turn the light ON/OFF.
  • Timer: Set a timer for automatic fan shutdown (if available on remote).

5.2 Pull Chain Control

Alternatively, the fan can be controlled using the pull chains for basic ON/OFF and speed adjustments.

5.3 Reversible Function

The fan features a reversible motor. A switch on the motor housing (outside) allows you to change the direction of the fan blades:

  • Summer Mode (Downdraft): Blades rotate counter-clockwise to create a cooling breeze.
  • Winter Mode (Updraft): Blades rotate clockwise to recirculate warm air from the ceiling.
