- Turn on the barcode scanner. It should automatically pair with the receiver. A successful connection is usually indicated by a specific sound or light indicator on the scanner.
- Open a text editor or application where you want the scanned data to appear.
- Scan a test barcode to confirm the connection.
3.2. Wired Connection (USB Cable)
- Connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB cable.
- The scanner will function as a wired device and also charge its internal battery.
- Open a text editor or application and scan a test barcode to verify functionality.

4. Operating the Scanner
4.1. Scanning Modes
The scanner offers two primary scanning modes:
- Normal Trigger Mode: Press the trigger button to activate the laser and scan a barcode. Release the trigger after a successful scan.
- Continuous Scan Mode: In this mode, the scanner continuously emits the laser, allowing for rapid scanning without repeatedly pressing the trigger. This mode is particularly useful when the scanner is placed on its adjustable stand.
Refer to the included programming guide for instructions on how to switch between these modes.

Image 4.1: The scanner can be used in normal trigger mode or continuous scan mode, especially when paired with the hands-free stand.
4.2. Data Upload Modes
The scanner supports two data upload methods:
- Instant Upload Mode: Barcode data is transmitted to your device immediately after scanning.
- Collection Mode (Offline Storage): Barcodes are stored in the scanner's internal memory. This mode allows you to scan up to 30,000 barcodes when out of range of the receiver. Data can then be uploaded to your device in batches once the scanner is back within wireless transmission range.

Image 4.2: Choose between instant data upload or collection mode for offline storage and batch upload.
4.3. Wireless Transmission Range
The 2.4G wireless radio frequency provides flexibility:
- Up to 30 meters (100 feet) in indoor environments with obstacles.
- Up to 100 meters (328 feet) in outdoor, barrier-free environments.
Actual wireless transmission distance may vary based on building materials, physical objects, and other environmental factors.

4.4. Battery Life
The scanner is equipped with a 2000mAh Lithium Polymer battery. A single charge can provide up to 30 days of working time when scanning approximately 1500 barcodes daily in auto-off mode.

Image 4.4: The 2000mAh battery ensures extended operation on a single charge.
4.5. Adding Prefix and Suffix
The scanner allows for custom prefix and suffix characters to be added to scanned barcode data. This feature is configured by scanning specific programming barcodes found in the instruction booklet.
Video 4.5.1: This video demonstrates the process of adding prefix and suffix characters to scanned barcode data using the programming guide.
4.6. Uploading Scanned Barcodes
The method of uploading scanned barcodes depends on the chosen data upload mode (Instant or Collection).
Video 4.6.1: This video illustrates three different ways to upload scanned barcode data to your system.
4.7. ENTER & TAB Settings
The scanner can be configured to automatically add an ENTER or TAB key function after each scan, which can streamline data entry in various applications.
Video 4.7.1: This video provides instructions on how to configure the scanner for ENTER and TAB key settings after each scan.
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your NADAMOO Bur3074 barcode scanner, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. For the scanning window, use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to preserve battery health.
- Handling: Avoid dropping the scanner or subjecting it to strong impacts. While designed for durability, excessive force can damage internal components.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your barcode scanner.
6.1. Scanner Not Working / Not Connecting
- Check Power: Ensure the scanner is charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB cable.
- USB Receiver: For wireless mode, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your computer's USB port. Try a different USB port.
- Re-pairing: If the scanner loses connection, refer to the programming guide to re-pair the scanner with its receiver.
- Cable Connection: For wired mode, ensure the USB cable is firmly connected to both the scanner and the computer.
6.2. Barcodes Not Scanning or Scanning Incorrectly
- Barcode Type: This scanner reads 1D linear barcodes. It cannot read 2D barcodes (e.g., QR codes, PDF417) or barcodes from screens.
- Barcode Condition: Ensure the barcode is clear, undamaged, and not smudged.
- Reflective Surfaces: The scanner may have difficulty reading barcodes from highly reflective surfaces like silver foil paper.
- Distance and Angle: Adjust the distance and angle between the scanner and the barcode.
- Programming Settings: Incorrect programming settings (e.g., disabled barcode types) can prevent scanning. Refer to the programming guide to reset or adjust settings.
6.3. Unwanted Beeping
If the scanner emits an annoying beep after a short period of inactivity, this is often a configurable sleep mode alert. Refer to your programming guide for the specific barcode to scan to disable or adjust this alert.
