Setup and Installation

Replacing the carburetor requires basic mechanical knowledge. If you are unsure about any step, consult a qualified technician.

  1. Preparation: Ensure the generator is turned off, cooled down, and the fuel valve is closed. Disconnect the spark plug wire.
  2. Access the Old Carburetor: Remove any air filter housing, fuel lines, and linkages connected to the existing carburetor. Carefully note the routing of all hoses and wires for reassembly.
  3. Remove Old Carburetor: Unbolt the old carburetor from the engine. Be prepared for residual fuel to drain. Remove and discard the old gaskets.
  4. Install New Gaskets: Place the new gaskets in their correct positions between the engine, carburetor, and air filter housing. Ensure they are seated properly to prevent air leaks.
  5. Mount New Carburetor: Position the new HOQO carburetor and secure it with the original bolts. Do not overtighten.
  6. Connect Components: Reconnect all fuel lines, linkages, and electrical connections (if applicable) to the new carburetor. Replace the old fuel filter with the new one provided in the kit, ensuring correct flow direction. Install the new fuel line if the old one is worn or damaged.
  7. Final Checks: Double-check all connections for tightness and proper routing. Ensure there are no kinks in the fuel line.

  2. Choke: Move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" or "START" position.
  3. Start: Pull the recoil starter handle firmly or use the electric start (if equipped).
  4. Warm-up: Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position as the engine warms up.
