1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Signature Design by Ashley Yandel Electric Power Lift Recliner. 2. Safety Information

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly typically involves connecting the two main sections of the chair and attaching the power components. The chair is designed to fit through doorways 30 inches or wider.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Place them on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.
2. Connect Backrest to Base: Align the metal brackets on the backrest section with the corresponding receivers on the recliner base. Slide the backrest down firmly until it locks into place. You may hear a click.
3. Attach Arm Cushions and Side Back Cushions: If separate, slide these components onto their respective brackets until secure.
4. Connect Power Supply:
   • Connect the pigtail wire from the power supply unit to the wire extending from the chair's motor. Ensure this connection is secure.
   • Insert two 9-volt transistor radio batteries into the designated compartment on the power supply unit for battery backup functionality.
   • Connect the detachable grounded power cord to the power supply unit.
   • Plug the grounded power cord into a standard wall outlet.
5. Connect Remote Control: Plug the remote control cable into the designated port, typically located in a side pouch or near the power connections.

5. Operating Instructions

The Yandel Power Lift Recliner is operated using the wired remote control. The remote allows for independent control of the backrest and leg rest, as well as the power lift function.

• Reclining: Use the "DOWN" button for the backrest to recline the chair backward. Use the "UP" button for the leg rest to extend the footrest. These can be operated independently to find your desired position.
• Returning to Upright Position: Use the "UP" button for the backrest to bring the backrest forward. Use the "DOWN" button for the leg rest to retract the footrest.
• Power Lift Function: To activate the power lift, press and hold the designated "UP" button for the lift function. The chair will gently tilt forward and lift, assisting you to a standing position. To lower the chair, press and hold the "DOWN" button for the lift function.
• Battery Backup: In case of a power outage, the installed 9-volt batteries provide temporary power for a limited number of operations to return the chair to a seated position. This is not intended for continuous operation.

6. Maintenance and Care
