1. Introduction
The Wonlyus HDMI to RCA Converter is designed to convert a digital HDMI video signal into a standard-definition analog AV (3RCA CVBs composite video and L/R stereo audio) signal. 5. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to connect your HDMI source to an RCA-enabled display:
- Connect HDMI Source: Plug your HDMI source device (e.g., TV Stick, PC, Laptop, Xbox, Apple TV) into the HDMI input port of the Wonlyus converter.
- Connect RCA Output: Connect the yellow RCA cable to the CVBS (video) input of your TV/display. Connect the white RCA cable to the L (left audio) input and the red RCA cable to the R (right audio) input of your TV/display.
- Provide Power: Connect the provided USB power cable to the converter's USB/Power port. Then, plug the other end of the USB cable into a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on your TV/device that provides sufficient power. The converter MUST BE POWERED FIRST OF ALL to function correctly.
- Select TV Input: On your television or display, select the correct input source (usually labeled AV, Composite, or Video) that corresponds to where you connected the RCA cables.
- Adjust Video Format (if needed): If your TV displays a black and white picture or no picture, use the NTSC/PAL switch on the converter to select the appropriate video format for your region (NTSC for North America, PAL for most other regions).

7. Troubleshooting
- No Picture/Black Screen:
- Ensure all cables (HDMI, RCA, USB power) are securely connected.
- Verify the converter is receiving power from the USB cable. The power indicator light should be on.
- Check that your TV/display is set to the correct AV/Composite input channel.
- Try toggling the NTSC/PAL switch on the converter.
- Black and White Picture:
- This usually indicates an incorrect video format. Toggle the NTSC/PAL switch on the converter to the other setting.
- Distorted/Poor Quality Picture:
- Ensure the HDMI input resolution from your source device is not exceeding 1080P.
- Check for damaged cables. Try using different HDMI or RCA cables if available.
- Ensure the USB power supply is stable and sufficient (5V/1A).
If problems persist after following these steps, please contact Wonlyus customer service for assistance.
