3. Setup

  1. Unpack and Clean: Carefully unpack all components. Before first use, wash the freezer bowl, stirring paddle, and lid in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor unit in water.
  2. Freeze the Bowl: Place the empty freezer bowl in the freezer for at least 12 to 24 hours. The bowl must be completely frozen for optimal results. Ensure your freezer is set to -18°C (0°F) or colder.
  3. Prepare Ingredients: Prepare your desired ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet mixture. For best results, chill your mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours before churning.
  4. Assemble the Appliance: Once the freezer bowl is frozen, remove it from the freezer. Place the frozen bowl into the base unit. Insert the stirring paddle into the center of the freezer bowl. Place the motor unit onto the lid, ensuring it is securely locked in place. Then, place the assembled lid onto the freezer bowl, twisting gently until it is firmly seated.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to make delicious frozen treats:

  1. Connect Power: Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet. The LED display on the lid will illuminate.
  2. Start Churning: Press the power button to turn on the machine. The stirring paddle will begin to rotate. It is crucial to start the machine before adding the mixture to prevent the mixture from freezing instantly on the bowl walls and hindering the stirring process.
  3. Add Mixture: Slowly pour your chilled ice cream, yogurt, or sorbet mixture through the filling opening in the lid. The maximum capacity is 1.8 liters.
  4. Set Timer: Use the digital timer controls to set the desired churning time. Typical preparation times range from 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the recipe and desired consistency.
  5. Monitor Process: Allow the machine to churn. The mixture will gradually thicken. You can observe the process through the transparent lid.
  6. Add Inclusions: If adding solid ingredients like chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit pieces, do so during the last 5-10 minutes of churning through the filling opening.
  7. Finish Churning: Once the desired consistency is reached, or the timer expires, press the power button to turn off the machine.
  8. Serve or Store: Unplug the appliance. Remove the lid and stirring paddle. Use a plastic or wooden spatula to scoop out the ice cream. Avoid metal utensils, as they can damage the freezer bowl. Serve immediately for soft-serve consistency, or transfer to an airtight container and place in the freezer for a firmer texture.
