Setup and Installation

The installation of the BlueMusic adapter is designed to be straightforward. It connects directly to the CD changer port on the back of your car radio. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure about the process.

  1. Prepare your vehicle: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the car battery is disconnected to prevent electrical damage.
  2. Remove the car radio: Use appropriate radio removal keys (if necessary) to carefully extract your car radio from its slot. Refer to your vehicle's specific instructions for radio removal.
  3. Locate the CD changer port: On the back of your radio, identify the 8-pin mini-ISO connector, typically used for a CD changer.
  4. Connect the adapter:
    • Connect the red plug of the BlueMusic adapter to the corresponding port on your radio.
    • Connect the black ground wire to a suitable ground point on the radio chassis or vehicle frame.
    • The blue connector on the adapter cable remains unused.
  5. Secure the adapter: Once connected, ensure the adapter and its wiring are neatly tucked away behind the radio, avoiding any moving parts or heat sources. The installation should be invisible.
  6. Reinstall the radio: Carefully slide the car radio back into its slot until it clicks into place.
  7. Reconnect battery: Reconnect the car battery.

  1. Power On: Turn on your car ignition and car radio.

  3. Pairing Your Device:
    • On your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings.
    • Search for available devices. The adapter should appear as "BlueMusic" or a similar identifier.
    • Select "BlueMusic" to pair. No PIN is usually required.
    • Once paired, your device will automatically connect to the adapter when the radio is in CD changer mode and Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  4. Music Playback:
    • Start playing music on your paired device. The audio will be streamed through your car's speakers.
    • Track Control: You can control track playback (next/previous track) directly from your car radio's buttons or steering wheel controls, if supported by your radio model.

Maintenance

The BlueMusic Bluetooth Audio Adapter requires minimal maintenance. Keep the adapter and its connections free from moisture and extreme temperatures. No user-serviceable parts are inside.

Troubleshooting

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the radio is set to CD changer mode (AUX/CD/CDC).
    • Verify your device is successfully paired and connected to "BlueMusic".
    • Check the volume levels on both your device and the car radio.
    • Confirm all connections, especially the ground wire, are secure.
  • Cannot Pair Device:
    • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
    • Ensure no other device is currently connected to the adapter.
    • Try restarting your phone and the car radio.
    • Move your device closer to the adapter.
  • Intermittent Connection/Poor Audio Quality:
    • Ensure the adapter is securely connected and not loose.
    • Check for potential interference from other electronic devices.
