The Houzetek S657 Wireless Weather Station is designed to provide accurate indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity readings, along with a color display for weather forecasts, time, and alarm functions. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance of your weather station.

Setup
1. Powering the Main Unit
- Using USB Power: Connect the provided USB power cable to the DC 5V port on the back of the main unit. Plug the other end into a USB power adapter (not included) or a compatible USB port.
- Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-). The display will light up.
- Note: For continuous display backlight, USB power is recommended. Batteries primarily serve as a backup for settings during power outages.
2. Installing Outdoor Sensor Batteries
- Open the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
3. Pairing the Outdoor Sensor
The main unit will automatically search for the outdoor sensor upon initial power-up. The outdoor temperature and humidity section on the display will show "--.--" or flashing readings until a connection is established.
- Ensure both the main unit and the outdoor sensor have fresh batteries or are powered.
- Place the outdoor sensor within 3 meters of the main unit during the initial pairing process.
- If the connection is not established within 3 minutes, press and hold the "CHANNEL" button on the main unit for 3 seconds to manually initiate a search.
- Once connected, the outdoor temperature and humidity will be displayed.

4. Initial Settings (Time, Date, Units)
After successful sensor pairing, set the time, date, and preferred temperature units.
- Press the "MODE" button to cycle through display modes (Time, Alarm, Date).
- Setting Time/Date: When the time is displayed, press and hold the "MODE" button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. The hour will flash. Use "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust, then press "MODE" to confirm and move to the next setting (minute, year, month, day).
- Setting Temperature Units: In normal display mode, press the "UP" button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
Operating Instructions
Viewing Temperature and Humidity
- The main display continuously shows indoor temperature and humidity (B2, B3) and outdoor temperature and humidity (B5, B6).
- The comfort level indicator (B1) provides a visual representation of indoor comfort based on temperature and humidity.
Setting the Alarm
- Press the "MODE" button until the alarm time is displayed.
- Press and hold the "ALARM" button for 3 seconds. The alarm hour will flash.
- Use "UP" or "DOWN" to adjust the hour, then press "ALARM" to confirm and move to minutes.
- Adjust minutes with "UP" or "DOWN", then press "ALARM" to confirm.
- Press "ALARM" again to toggle the alarm ON/OFF. An alarm icon will appear on the display when activated.
Snooze and Backlight Function
- When the alarm sounds, press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button to activate the snooze function. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes.
- Press any other button to stop the alarm for the day.
- Press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button at any time to temporarily illuminate the display backlight (if powered by batteries). If powered by USB, the backlight is continuously on.
Max/Min Temperature and Humidity Records
- Press the "ALERTS" button repeatedly to view the maximum and minimum recorded indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity values.
- To clear the recorded Max/Min values, press and hold the "ALERTS" button for 3 seconds while viewing them.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
- When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the main unit or outdoor sensor as needed.
- Always replace all batteries in a set with new ones of the same type.
- Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
Cleaning
- Wipe the unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing.
- Ensure no water enters the battery compartments or electronic components.
