3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the scale unit.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert the three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely. The scale should automatically power on.
3.2. Attaching the Hooks
- Unscrew the pin from the shackle hook.
- Insert the shackle hook into the top mounting point of the scale unit.
- Secure the shackle hook by re-inserting and tightening the pin.

4. Operation
4.1. Power On/Off
Press the ON/T button to power the scale on or off. The scale will automatically turn off after approximately 4 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
4.2. Unit Selection
Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available weighing units: pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), and Newtons (N).
4.3. Tare Function
To subtract the weight of a container or to reset the scale to zero, place the empty container on the hook and press the ON/T button. The display will show '0.00', indicating that the tare function is active.
4.4. Hold Function
Press the HOLD button to lock the current weight reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold and return to live weighing.
