The StarTech.com USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Adapter allows you to connect two independent HDMI displays to your computer using a single USB 3.0 port. This adapter is designed to enhance your productivity by providing additional screen space for multitasking.

Compatibility
This adapter is compatible with Windows operating systems (Windows 7, 8/8.1, 10, and 11). Administrator rights are required for driver installation. Please note that this adapter does not support macOS, ChromeOS, or Linux.

Setup
- Driver Installation: Before connecting the adapter, download and install the latest drivers from the official StarTech.com support website. Search for model USB32HD2. Administrator rights are required for this process.
- Connect Adapter to Computer: Plug the USB-A connector of the adapter into an available USB 3.0 port on your Windows computer.
- Connect Displays:
- Connect your primary HDMI display (up to 4K 30Hz) to the HDMI Port 1 (labeled "4K HDMI") on the adapter.
- Connect your secondary HDMI display (up to 1080p 60Hz or 1920x1200) to the HDMI Port 2 (labeled "HDMI") on the adapter.
- System Restart (Recommended): After driver installation, it is recommended to restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect.

Operating the Adapter
Once the adapter and displays are connected, your Windows operating system should automatically detect the new monitors. You can configure display settings through your operating system's display preferences.
- Extend Display: To use the additional monitors as an extension of your primary display, navigate to Display Settings in Windows and select "Extend these displays." This allows you to have different content on each screen, increasing your workspace.
- Duplicate Display: To mirror your primary display onto the additional monitors, select "Duplicate these displays" in Display Settings.
- Audio Output: The adapter supports 2-channel audio pass-through via the HDMI connection. Ensure your audio output is set to the correct HDMI display in your sound settings.
