3. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your Betus Robot Alarm Clock for use:

3.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the robot.
  2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA carbon zinc batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2. Setting the Time

  1. Locate the 'Time Adjuster' knob on the back of the clock (typically the left knob).
  2. Turn this knob counter-clockwise to set the current time.

3.3. Setting the Alarm Time

  1. Locate the 'Alarm Adjuster' knob on the back of the clock (typically the right knob).
  2. Turn this knob counter-clockwise to set your desired wake-up time.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Turning the Alarm ON/OFF

  1. To activate the alarm, push the 'Alarm Switch' on the back of the clock to the "ON" position.
  2. To disable the alarm, push the 'Alarm Switch' to the "OFF" position. Note: Reactivation is required after disabling.

4.2. Alarm Functionality

When the alarm time is reached, the clock will emit an audible alarm sound, and the robot's eyes will flash to provide a visual alert.

4.3. Using the Hand Clips

The robot's arms feature functional alligator clips. These can be used to hold small items such as notes, photos, or business cards, adding a personalized touch to your desk or bedside table.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the clock's accuracy decreases or the alarm function weakens. Always use new AAA carbon zinc batteries.
  • Handling: Handle the robot with care. Avoid twisting the head or rotating the hands frequently, as this may affect its functionality.

6. Troubleshooting
