4.3 Switching Layers

The Falcon-20 RGB supports 5 programmable layers. You can assign a key to switch between these layers, allowing for multiple sets of commands on the same physical keys.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean your macropad, disconnect it from the computer. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For keycaps, a keycap puller can be used to remove them for deeper cleaning.

5.2 Storage

Store the macropad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the detachable USB cable for easier storage and transport.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Keys not responding:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the macropad and the computer.
    • Verify that the programming software is running and the correct layer is active.
    • Test the macropad on a different USB port or computer to rule out port issues.
  • Programming software issues:
    • Ensure your operating system meets the minimum requirements (Windows 10, 8, 7, XP).
    • Try reinstalling the programming software.
    • If changes are not saving, try resetting the layer within the software and re-programming. Some users have reported cache-related issues requiring a layer reset.
  • RGB lighting not working:
    • Check backlight settings within the programming software.
    • Ensure the macropad is receiving sufficient power via the USB connection.
