Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Assemble the Feeder:
- Place the main feeder unit on a stable, flat surface.
- Ensure the food dispensing mechanism (impeller) is correctly seated in the base.
- Slide the removable food bowl into the designated slot at the bottom front of the feeder.
- Power the Unit:
- Option 1 (DC Power): Connect the USB power cable to the port at the bottom of the feeder and plug the other end into a USB power adapter (not included) connected to a wall outlet.
- Option 2 (Battery Power): Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder and insert three D-cell batteries (not included). This can also serve as a backup power source.
- Fill the Food Container:
- Remove the top lid by twisting or pressing the release mechanism.
- Place the desiccant bag (if using) into its holder on the underside of the lid to help keep food fresh.
- Pour dry pet food into the large capacity hopper (up to 1500g).
- Securely close the top lid, ensuring it locks into place to maintain freshness and prevent pets from accessing the food.
- Prime the Feeder: For first-time setup, manually dispense a few portions to ensure food flows smoothly into the bowl and the dispensing mechanism is properly engaged.
Operating Instructions
- Set Current Time:
- Press the "SET" button until the hour display flashes. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press "SET" again, and the minute display will flash. Use "+" and "-" to adjust the minutes.
- Press "SET" one more time to confirm the current time.
- Program Meal Times and Portions:
- The feeder allows you to set up to 4 meals per day.
- Press "SET" repeatedly to cycle through Meal 1, Meal 2, Meal 3, and Meal 4 settings.
- For each meal:
- When the meal number flashes, press "SET" to adjust the hour, then "+" or "-" to change it.
- Press "SET" again to adjust the minute, then "+" or "-" to change it.
- Press "SET" again to adjust the portion size (1-39 portions). Use "+" or "-" to select the desired amount.
- Press "SET" to confirm the meal settings. Repeat for other meals as needed.
- Voice Recording:
- Press and hold the "MIC" button until the display shows "REC".
- Record your voice message (e.g., "Here kitty, kitty!") for up to 10 seconds.
- Release the "MIC" button to save the recording. Your message will play automatically at each scheduled meal time.
- Press the "PLAY" button to listen to your recorded message.
- Manual Feeding:
- Press the "FEED" button once to dispense one portion immediately.
- You can press it multiple times for additional portions.
- Lock/Unlock Control Panel:
- To prevent accidental changes by pets or children, press and hold the "LOCK" button for 3 seconds to lock the control panel.
- Repeat the action to unlock the panel.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Food Bowl: The stainless steel food bowl is removable and can be easily washed with soap and water. Ensure it is completely dry before placing it back into the feeder.
- Cleaning the Food Container: The food container can be detached from the motorized base for cleaning. Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and ensure it is completely dry before reassembly.
- Desiccant Bag Replacement: Replace the desiccant bag every 1-2 months, or as needed, to maintain optimal food freshness.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the feeder with a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse the motorized base in water.
Troubleshooting
- Feeder Not Dispensing Food:
- Check if the food container is empty.
- Ensure the feeder is powered on and connected to a power source or has fresh batteries.
- Verify that the dispensing mechanism is not jammed by food. Manually dispense a few portions to clear any blockages.
- Incorrect Time/Meal Schedule:
- Unlock the control panel if it is locked.
- Re-enter the current time and meal schedules following the "Operating Instructions" section.
- Press "SET" one more time to confirm the current time.
- Voice Message Not Playing:
- Ensure a voice message has been recorded. Try re-recording the message.
- Check the volume settings (if applicable, refer to the full user manual).
- Food Becoming Stale:
- Ensure the top lid is securely closed and locked.
- Replace the desiccant bag regularly.
