Setup
1. Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the machine and then to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the machine is placed on a stable, flat surface.
2. Bobbin Winding
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the upper thread guide and around the bobbin winding tension disc.
- Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
- Wrap the thread around the bobbin a few times, then push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
- Press the start/stop button or gently press the foot control to begin winding. Stop when the bobbin is full.
- Cut the thread and push the bobbin winder spindle back to the left.

3. Threading the Machine
- Raise the presser foot and the needle to its highest position.
- Place the thread spool on the spool pin.
- Follow the numbered threading path indicated on the machine, guiding the thread through all guides and tension discs.
- Bring the thread down to the needle area.
- Use the automatic needle threader for convenience, or manually thread the needle from front to back.
- Pull approximately 6 inches of thread through the needle eye.

4. Inserting the Bobbin
- Open the bobbin cover plate located on the needle plate.
- Insert the wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
- Guide the bobbin thread through the tension spring and into the thread guide slot.
- Replace the bobbin cover plate.
- Hold the upper thread lightly and turn the handwheel towards you to bring the bobbin thread up through the needle plate opening.
- Pull both threads under the presser foot and towards the back of the machine.

1. LCD Display and Controls
The Bernette B37 features a clear LCD display that shows the selected stitch number, recommended presser foot, stitch length, and stitch width. Use the arrow buttons next to the display to navigate and adjust settings.
2. Stitch Selection
