4.1 Main Unit (Subwoofer)

The subwoofer houses the primary controls and connections. The front panel includes a digital display, source selection button (SOURCE), scan/play/pause button (M/SCAN), volume up/down buttons (VOL+/VOL-), and track navigation buttons.

4.2 Satellite Speakers

The two satellite speakers connect to the subwoofer to provide stereo audio output. They feature a tall, slender design for versatile placement.

5. Setup

  1. Placement: Position the subwoofer on a stable, flat surface. Place the satellite speakers on either side of the subwoofer, ensuring they are facing the listening area. Attach the speaker base plates to the satellite speakers if not already assembled.
  2. Connect Satellite Speakers: Connect the cables from the satellite speakers to the corresponding output ports on the rear of the subwoofer. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect FM Antenna: If you plan to use the FM radio function, connect the supplied FM antenna wire to the FM antenna port on the rear of the subwoofer. Extend the wire for optimal reception.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the remote control or the main unit to turn the system on or off.

6.2 Source Selection

Press the SOURCE button on the main unit or remote control repeatedly to cycle through available input modes: Bluetooth, USB, AUX, and FM.

6.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Select Bluetooth mode using the SOURCE button. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Philips MMS2160B" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the display will stop flashing, and you can play audio from your device through the speaker system.

6.4 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3/WMA audio files into the USB port on the main unit.
  2. Select USB mode using the SOURCE button. The system will automatically begin playing audio files.
  3. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, NEXT, and PREVIOUS buttons on the main unit or remote control to manage playback.

6.5 AUX Input
