Introduction
The Kitables Mini Drone kit provides all necessary components to construct a functional remote-controlled quadcopter. This kit serves as an introduction to drone assembly and fundamental aerodynamic principles.
Safety Information
- This kit contains small parts. Keep out of reach of small children to prevent choking hazards.
- The kit includes a Lithium Polymer battery. Handle with care. Do not puncture, disassemble, or expose to extreme temperatures.
- Soldering is required for assembly. Use appropriate safety gear, such as safety glasses, and ensure proper ventilation. Exercise caution to avoid burns.
- Operate the drone in open, clear areas, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
- Recommended for ages 13 and up due to soldering requirements. Younger individuals may assemble with adult supervision.

Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your Kitables Mini Drone. Soldering is a critical step in this process.
- Assemble the Drone Frame: Use the provided plastic bricks to construct the main body and arms of the drone. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Solder Motors to Flight Controller: This step requires precision. Carefully solder the motor wires to the designated pads on the flight controller board. Refer to the online instructions for specific wiring diagrams.
- Mount Motors and Flight Controller: Securely attach the motors to the drone arms using zipties or rubber bands as indicated in the instructions. Mount the flight controller centrally on the drone frame.
- Connect Battery: Connect the rechargeable battery to the flight controller. Ensure the polarity is correct.
- Attach Propellers: Carefully push the propellers onto the motor shafts. Ensure they are firmly seated and oriented correctly for flight (check for 'A' and 'B' markings if present, or refer to diagrams).
- Install Transmitter Batteries: Open the battery compartment of the transmitter and insert the AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.

Operating Instructions
Before your first flight, ensure the battery is fully charged and you are in a safe, open environment.
- Charge the Drone Battery: Connect the rechargeable drone battery to the USB charger and plug it into a USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status (typically red for charging, off or green for fully charged).
- Power On Transmitter: Turn on the power switch on the transmitter.
- Power On Drone: Connect the drone's battery to the flight controller. The drone's lights should illuminate.
- Pairing: On the transmitter, push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's lights should stop flashing and become solid, indicating successful pairing.
- Pre-Flight Check: Ensure propellers spin freely and are not obstructed. Check that the drone is on a level surface.
- Take-off: Slowly push the left joystick (throttle) upwards to increase motor speed and lift off.
- Flight Controls:
- Left Joystick (Throttle): Up/Down for altitude control.
- Left Joystick (Yaw): Left/Right for rotating the drone.
- Right Joystick (Pitch/Roll): Up/Down for forward/backward movement (pitch). Left/Right for sideways movement (roll).
- Landing: Slowly pull the left joystick (throttle) downwards to descend. Once on the ground, pull the throttle all the way down to stop the motors.
- Power Off: Disconnect the drone battery first, then turn off the transmitter.

Maintenance
- Battery Care: Always disconnect the battery after use. Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or completely discharge the battery.
- Propeller Inspection: Regularly check propellers for damage (cracks, bends). Replace any damaged propellers to ensure stable flight.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone. Avoid using liquids or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the drone and transmitter in a safe place to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
- Drone Not Powering On:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check all battery connections to the flight controller.
- Inspect soldered connections for any breaks or cold joints.
- Drone Not Connecting to Transmitter:
- Ensure both drone and transmitter are powered on.
- Perform the pairing sequence (throttle up, then down) correctly.
- Verify AAA batteries in the transmitter are fresh and correctly inserted.
- One or More Motors Not Spinning:
- Check the soldered connections for the affected motor.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or short-circuited.
- Inspect the motor for physical damage or debris.
- Unstable Flight / Drifting:
- Ensure all propellers are correctly installed and undamaged.
- Verify the drone is calibrated on a flat surface before flight.
- Check for any loose components or uneven weight distribution.
- Missing Parts Upon Arrival:
- Thoroughly check all packaging materials.
- If parts are genuinely missing, contact Kitables customer support immediately.
