4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your TROTEC BH30 Humidity Plug Controller:
- Plug In: Insert the BH30 directly into a standard, properly grounded wall socket.
- Connect Appliance: Plug your humidifier or dehumidifier into the integrated power socket on the front of the BH30.
- Power On: Press the Power/Mode button to turn on the BH30. The display will illuminate, showing the current ambient humidity.

5. Operation
5.1 Setting Desired Humidity
- With the device powered on, press the Power/Mode button once to enter the humidity setting mode. The currently set humidity value will flash on the display.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to adjust the desired humidity level. The adjustable range is from 20% to 90% Relative Humidity (RH).
- Press the Power/Mode button again to confirm your selection, or wait a few seconds for the setting to be automatically saved. The display will return to showing the current ambient humidity.
5.2 Automatic Control
The BH30 will automatically activate or deactivate the connected appliance based on the set humidity level:
- If the current humidity is above the set level (for dehumidification) or below the set level (for humidification), the connected appliance will turn on. The indicator light will typically be red.
- Once the current humidity reaches the set level, the connected appliance will turn off. The indicator light will typically be green.
5.3 Reset Function
To restore the device to its factory default settings, press the small Reset button located below the control buttons. You may need a thin object like a paperclip to press it.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accurate performance of your BH30 controller.
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the unit.

- Battery Replacement: The BH30 uses a CR2032 lithium button cell battery to retain settings during power outages. If settings are lost after a power interruption, the battery may need replacement.
