Water Resistance
Your Timex Expedition Scout watch is water resistant to 50 meters (164 feet). This means it is suitable for recreational swimming in shallow water. It is not recommended for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet or submerged to prevent water intrusion.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, damp cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture. If it gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or strap.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses a CR2016 Lithium Metal battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance. Incorrect battery replacement can compromise the watch's water resistance and internal components.

Troubleshooting
Date Not Changing at Midnight
If the date changes at noon instead of midnight, this indicates the watch's 24-hour cycle is misaligned. To correct this, pull the crown out to the outermost position and advance the time by 12 hours. Then, reset the correct time and date as described in the Setup section.
Watch Not Running
If your watch stops running, the battery may need to be replaced. Refer to the Battery Replacement section under Maintenance.
