3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the following items:
- 1 x Parent Unit (Monitor)
- 1 x Baby Unit (Camera)
- 2 x Power Adapters
- 1 x User Manual
3.2 Charging the Units
Before first use, fully charge both the Parent Unit and Baby Unit. The Parent Unit has a built-in rechargeable Li-polymer battery (400mAh), while the Baby Unit operates primarily on AC power but may have a small internal battery for brief portability.
- Connect one power adapter to the Parent Unit's power port and plug it into a wall outlet.
- Connect the second power adapter to the Baby Unit's power port and plug it into a wall outlet.
- Allow both units to charge until their power indicator lights show a full charge (refer to the indicator light section in the manual for specific behavior).
3.3 Placement of Units
For optimal performance, consider the following:
- Baby Unit: Place the Baby Unit at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from your baby to avoid potential hazards. Position it on a flat surface or mount it securely where it has a clear view of the baby's crib or play area. Ensure it is out of reach of children.
- Parent Unit: Keep the Parent Unit within the effective range of the Baby Unit. The effective unobstructed range is approximately 50m (160ft) indoors and 260m (850ft) outdoors (line of sight). Walls, furniture, and other electronic devices can reduce the range.
- Avoid placing units near other electronic devices (e.g., microwaves, Wi-Fi routers) that may cause interference.
