  • Appliance Manual: Always refer to the specific operating instructions and safety guidelines provided with your propane appliance.
  • Storage: Store propane tanks in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

3. Setup

Follow these steps to safely connect your portable propane appliance to a 20lb propane tank using the DozyAnt adapter hose.

  1. Prepare the Appliance: Ensure your portable propane appliance is turned off and any existing 1lb cylinder is removed.
  2. Connect to Appliance: Locate the 1"-20 throwaway cylinder thread connection on your portable appliance. Screw the smaller end of the DozyAnt adapter hose (the brass fitting) into this port. Hand-tighten firmly.
  3. Connect to 20lb Tank: Attach the larger end of the adapter hose (the black QCC1/Type1 connector) to your 20lb propane tank valve. Turn the black handwheel clockwise until it is hand-tight.
  4. Perform Leak Test: Before opening the propane tank valve, apply a soapy water solution to all connections. Slowly open the propane tank valve. If bubbles appear, close the valve immediately and re-tighten connections. Repeat the leak test until no bubbles are present.
