Setup and Initial Operation

Winding the Watch

Your TEINTOP Carnival 8670G is an automatic mechanical watch. It is powered by the motion of your arm. If the watch has stopped or has not been worn for a day or two, it requires manual winding to initiate operation and build up power reserve.

  1. Ensure the crown is in its fully pushed-in position (Position 0).
  2. Turn the crown clockwise 40-50 times. This fully winds the mainspring and provides sufficient power to start the watch.
  3. The watch will then continue to wind automatically with your daily wrist movements (approximately 8 to 12 hours of wear per day).

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to Position 2 (the outermost position).
  2. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into Position 0.

Setting the Date and Complications

This watch features a double turntable date display, along with week and month complications.

  1. Date Adjustment: Pull the crown out to Position 1 (the middle position). Turn the crown to adjust the date. Note that the double turntable date display requires manual adjustment at the beginning of each month if the displayed value exceeds the actual date (e.g., after a month with fewer than 31 days).
  2. Week/Month Adjustment: Use the small pushers located on the side of the watch case to adjust the week and month displays. Refer to the specific pusher locations for each complication.

Important: Avoid adjusting the date or other complications between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.

Operating Your Watch

Once set, your automatic watch will continue to run as long as it is worn regularly. The visible balance wheel on the dial provides a glimpse into the intricate mechanical movement.

Maintenance and Care

Water Resistance

Your watch is water resistant to 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water, such as rain or hand washing.

Caution: This watch is not suitable for swimming, diving, showering, or any activities involving prolonged water exposure or high-pressure water. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

General Care

  • Clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, strong magnetic fields, or harsh chemicals.
  • For optimal performance, it is recommended to have your mechanical watch serviced by a qualified watchmaker every 3-5 years.

Leather Strap Care

The leather strap should be kept dry and clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, water, and sweat, which can cause damage or discoloration.
