Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation. This lock is reversible for both left and right-handed doors.

Step 1: Adjust Latch Bolt Backset

The latch bolt is adjustable for 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm) backsets. To adjust, twist the latch housing until it clicks into the desired position. Ensure the latch bolt is oriented correctly with the bevel facing the door frame.

Step 2: Install Latch Bolt

Insert the latch bolt into the edge bore hole of the door. Secure it with the two small screws provided. Ensure the latch bolt faceplate is flush with the door edge.

Step 3: Install Exterior Lever Assembly

Align the spindle of the exterior lever assembly with the cross bore hole and the latch bolt mechanism. Push the exterior lever assembly through the door, ensuring the posts align with the holes in the latch bolt.

Step 4: Install Interior Lever Assembly

Place the interior lever assembly over the spindle and posts from the exterior assembly. Secure the interior assembly to the exterior assembly using the longer mounting screws. Tighten screws evenly until the lock is snug against the door, but do not overtighten.

Step 5: Install Strike Plate

Close the door to mark the position of the latch bolt on the door frame. Mortise the door frame if necessary to ensure the strike plate sits flush. Secure the strike plate with the remaining screws.

Operating Instructions

Locking the Door

• From the Exterior: Insert the key into the key cylinder and turn it to lock the lever. Remove the key. The exterior lever will now be rigid, and the door will be locked.
• From the Interior: Rotate the thumb-turn on the interior lever assembly to lock the lever. The interior lever will now be rigid, and the door will be locked.

Unlocking the Door

• From the Exterior: Insert the key into the key cylinder and turn it to unlock the lever. The lever will now operate freely.
• From the Interior: Rotate the thumb-turn on the interior lever assembly to unlock the lever. The lever will now operate freely.

Opening the Door

Once unlocked, simply depress the lever handle to retract the latch bolt and open the door.

Maintenance
